No low, no high.
Coach K nailed it:
“The high moments are even higher because you experienced misery. You won’t get that high unless you experience that low.”
Watch. 🔥
“Preparation to win is much more important than the will to win. But if you combine the preparation to win and the will to win, I get chills thinking about it.”

James Franklin said, "You're going to fall back on your habits."
"If your habits are good and strong, you're going to be very very successful."
Excellence is the habit and the mindset, not the destination.
You are what you consistently do.
There are 5 types of HS coaches.
1. Dictators control.
2. Buddies cave.
3. Tacticians overthink.
5. Hype men fade.
6. Builders last.
You’ve got them for 4 years.
Four types they’ll forget.
One they’ll carry for life.
Which are you?
NBA champion coach Mike Brown played on Mesa Community College’s 1989-90 team that won 30 consecutive games with GCU President Brian Mueller as assistant coach.
I’m not sure about all the kids out there playing QB, but I’m overwhelmed by all the new teachings of QB tech! We are trying to teach what every exact body part should be doing at every moment! I just picked up a ball and practiced… played numerous sports to become an athlete… never had a true QB coach that trained me on technique… & I’d challenge anyone to an accuracy contest bc if what I learned along the way!
I’m not saying all this stuff can’t be good, but I think too many times we are trying too hard to focus on ALL these things instead of letting guys learn to feel their bodies, understand the keys to throwing & figuring out what is right & wrong on their own!
It’s really hard to self-correct when you don’t understand WHY you made or missed a throw… I had to figure this out on my own & it helped me to coach myself & be able to work on “throwing” when no one else was around!
Steve Kerr’s advice to parents of young athletes
”Keep your mouth shut… How can you possibly play at 10 years old when you’ve got 12 people yelling at you? Just be supportive because they’re going to feel so much more comfortable if you do that.”

Sean McVay just defined courage in one sentence:
"Doing what's right in spite of your fears. Even if it costs you something."
Won a Super Bowl at 36.
Courage isn't talent. It's a cost most people refuse to pay.
Someone out there is living the life you want.
Not smarter. Not more skilled. Not more resourceful.
They just paid the bill. You walked away.
What's the thing you're still avoiding because it might cost you something?
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson reveals Hollywood told him to stop calling himself The Rock to become a leading man
"I was told at that time, in order for this to happen, here's the biggest stars in the world. Will Smith, George Clooney, Johnny Depp. You look nothing like them"
"You got to stop talking about wrestling. Stop calling yourself The Rock. You're too big. Go on a diet. Get out of the gym. All this sh*t that at that time if you don't know any better, you buy into it 'cause you're trusting the people who are around you"
"I bought into it for a few years until finally I said, 'I can't do this anymore. I got to be me. I love wrestling. It's my life.' Fired everybody. Hired a brand new team. If at least I have to fail, then I fail being myself"
Tom Coughlin said, "You never want an opponent to see you in anything, but strength."
"You don't want bad language. You don't want that as a stamp of who you are."
Your body language speaks before you do.
Your presence, your tone, your energy - everything speaks.
