If Smith actually pulls the trigger on a separatist referendum on Thursday, she’s a traitor. Pure & simple.
She didn’t campaign on this, to my eyes she is violating her oath by calling the question, & she showing absolute contempt for First Nations.

If a separatist group wants to fight this in court, they can pay for their own appeal. It is not the responsibility of Alberta taxpayers to subsidize a political project the government claims it does not even support.

On my way to Council. One motion I’m excited about: extending Calgary Transit transfers from 90 to 120 minutes. Delays shouldn’t mean paying twice. More flexibility. More fairness. Thanks to Cllr @MikeJamiesonYYC for bringing it forward. Let’s make transit work better. #yyccc
Dear Alberta Separatists
Sunday morning is not for you. You’re either all for Canada, or not for Canada. You don’t get to pick and choose when you want to be patriotic.
For the rest of us, Sunday should be a hell of a game
Obviously, I could be happier 💔 with the result of the #CANvsUSA women’s Olympic hockey game, but I could not be more proud of #TeamCanada.❤️💓
Team Canada played with grit and pride, playing beyond the expectations of many.
Congrats to the U.S. team.

Listen: I’ll give credit where it’s due.
Seeing our Prime Minister Mark Carney standing alongside Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre, holding hands in solidarity, is exactly the kind of unity this country needs right now.
In moments of heartbreak, leadership isn’t about party lines, it’s about standing together.
I hope this becomes the standard going forward: unity over division, country over party. 🇨🇦
@minakimes@ForecasterEnten Remember when everyone ripped Shanahan for taking the ball first in the Super Bowl? "McDermott's final decision was a wrong one which but it was also the right one Shanahan should have made" playing the result big time here... if it didn't work it's wrong, if it works it's right
