@BudElliott3 And it won’t keep the connection. You’ll lose all the school traditions and student connection. Students aren’t paying 5-10k a year for tickets so say good buy to that student section. It will be ok for a few years and then tank like nascar had happen. Lose the base and it dies.
@BudElliott3 Nope. The lack of oversight has created inflated salaries. It’s the prisoner complex. When you remove the university tie, you’ll see decrease value for the product and players. When true minor league you’ll see XFL value.
@heitner@CoachD178 You remove the top 500 HS players every year, place them in a minor league system, and it wouldn't hurt the money these colleges make. Also, that minor league system wouldn't make any money. It is the college's brand and alumni's love for their university that "built the value".
@BCrawford247 I would consider a physical runner being the ability to finish off runs by punishing defenders or like Love vs PSU not just running downhill from the moment you get the ball. Think Black has to hit downhill because he doesn’t have the dynamic skill to do what Love/Price can do.
Athlete: Coach… I think I want to quit.
Coach: Okay. Then let’s talk about why.
Athlete: I’m tired. All the early mornings, the pain, the pressure. Sometimes I wake up and wonder what I’m even doing this for.
Coach: That’s not quitting. That’s being human. Doubt shows up when you’re close to something that matters.
Athlete: But I’m not even sure I’m good enough. I look around and see people stronger, faster… happier.
Coach: Comparison is a liar. It shows you everyone’s surface but hides their struggle. You don’t need to be better than them. You need to be better than yesterday.
Athlete: What if I never win? What if I give everything and still fall short?
Coach: Then you’ll walk away with something most never touch—truth. The kind you only find when you’ve emptied yourself for something bigger than comfort.
Athlete: So… you think I should keep going?
Coach: I think you already know the answer. You wouldn’t be having this conversation if you truly wanted to stop. You just want someone to remind you that it’s worth it.
Athlete: It hurts, Coach. Some days, it really hurts.
Coach: Good. That means you care. And nothing worth having comes without pain. Now breathe. You’ve made it through every hard day so far.
Most quit before the breakthrough!
Don’t be like most!
@therealmolson@CMillet86@jalenmerricks This mindset is why undeserving players win it. It’s the most outstanding player not QB on a top 5 team. Pavia was better statistically and more important to his team’s success. Mendoza stats were unimpressive in big games let alone overall.
@chestpainpapi@BudElliott3 Both played a P4 and were non competitive. That’s a marquee game for the G5 team and they lost. Neither “earned” their way just were gifted auto slots because of a dumb structure.
@BudElliott3@flioxan It’s similar how they schedule 10+ year contract with Clemson and now they look to be falling off. You can try but the other team has to gos up its end. Also have you looked at 27 and beyond? Lastly, as bad as you say it is, it’s better than most of the ACC or Big 12 schedules.
@CoachP_Elco@ItsMikeHill So you’re telling all the players getting ready for the draft they must play? It’s a hypocritical stance to say some players can opt out but others the coach can force to play. Bowl games are pointless in modern football and it’s better for the players to start rehab for 2026.
@CoachP_Elco@ItsMikeHill Are you mad at the players who opt out? If not then this is an idiotic stance. ND players voted no not admin. The players all opted out.
@4evercfb Also why does BYU drop but not Bama? ND would be favored over every first round team but Miami is a 4-5 point dog. CFP lost last bit of integrity today.
