@inaki_delaparra But what about the 50?
Taking McEvoy as example, is he an outlier or a black swan and is this a new trend?
Plus general Aerobic work, should that always be done in the pool?
Or is for example biking an option too?
@inaki_delaparra
When listening to your MAD science podcast with Arild. I noticed a small sidenote you made, swimming being an endurance sport. Could you explain me how you see swimming as an endurance sport?
I see it like running, it has Sprints (20-60s), MD (1-4m) & Distance.
@inaki_delaparra Thank you for answering.
So if I consider the Glycolytic system to be dominant in all efforts to 1min and mainly focus on training this for these events, and the repeated efforts and the technical/recovery sessions to build the Aerobic system, you actually disagree?
@SirenSeiler Collecting as much volume as possible at the right intensity for the race you are about to do.
While at the same time trying to increase speed/output at that intensity. And control yourself to see if you are working at the right effort for that intensity.
@StephenSeiler I know I am repeating others. But if the video, paper or the sheets will be available (for sale). I would hate to miss out on this.
Ps, I am a speedbased (Top end and ASR) swimcoach in Stockholm
@TheSwimsuitGuy 3 sessions, 60 to 90min per session could be enough.
The kid is young, just his normal physical development could give you the timeboost you need.
@Alan_Couzens Thank you for sharing this...
But how much is enough or what is a healthy volume for Sprinters in swimming (50&100m events) as they are Anaerobic dominant, way above VO2MAX.
@thijszonneveld vraagje, zou het mogelijk zijn voor TJV om alle 3 de Grand Tours in 2023 te winnen?
En is dat een unieke prestatie voor het wielrennen (heeft een ander team dit ooit gedaan)?
