🏁 Three must use sprints for acceleration development
If we could only program 3 sprints for athletes to get fast, this is what we’d use
Save these, use them to get faster!
1. Drop back sprints
2. RDL sprints
3. Lateral half kneeling
I absolutely love this.
Have one in college and one just graduated HS.. but I have 4 still in the house and we’re definitely implementing!!!
Wished I have done this sooner
This is a great cue. Quit telling kids to pick their knees up higher. PLEASE!!! I haven't used that cue in 20 years. INSTEAD....explain to them foot position and how to contact the ground (like @CoachDHansen says here) and watch their knees lift as a by product. 👍
Dr. Verkhoshansky was an absolute genius and if you’ve ever done plyometrics, you should be thanking him. This movement definitely looks gimmicky to most people, but its transfer to speed can be great.
Do you think this is real game, or just a gimmick? Comment below!
THE KEY TO BUILDING GAME CHANGING POWER IS HERE
These 9 jumps/plyometrics are what you need to move the needle
Save this list… use them
1. Single leg box jumps
2. Standard box jumps
3. Repeat SL broad jump
4. SL drop jump to SL broad jump
5. SL depth landings
6. SL broad jumps
7. Band resisted SL vertical jump
8. Med ball SL vertical to slam
9. Med ball SL broad jump
The goblet squat is the best variation of a squat that you start to load heavier but also while maintaining great form.
Here’s how you can optimize it 👇
The deep squat is a natural resting posture — it helps keep the hips mobile, ankles flexible, and spine healthy. Want to learn more and make mobility part of your daily routine? Start with my programs.

🦵Want to build limb stiffness!?
Save this routine & use it!
1. Band assisted extensive pogo x30 sec
2. Band assisted extensive SL pogo x30 sec
3. Band assisted intensive pogo x8 seconds
4. Med ball pogo to max release pogo
5. Stiff vertical double jump to box jump
6. Quadruple pogo jump to box jump
STOP skipping these things if you want to build REAL SPEED
Many athletes just like you don’t get faster…
Why? Because they don’t do these 11 things
This is your speed blueprint!
Save it, use these 11 things!
1. Heavy resisted short sprints
2. First step focused sprints
3. Pogo jumps to build the ankles
4. Top end focused max velocity sprints
5. Resisted vertical & broad jumps
6. Full speed vertical & broad jumps/plyometrics
7. Ballistic throws to build power
8. Dynamic and heavy compound lifts
9. Posterior chain building lifts
10. Unilateral lifts
11. Hip flexor & hamstring accessories
There are very few plyometric drills that have as clear a relationship to acceleration as bounding.
The athlete has to project forward, create/manage force from step to step and maintain their rhythm.
It’s not sprinting, but it’s one of our closest options.
If you’re only doing conventional broad jumps and vertical jumps in your training…
You’re missing out on serious athleticism
Here are the 12 best variations I use with my athletes to build real, 360-degree explosiveness
Save this
Most athletes stay one-dimensional because they never train multi-planar explosiveness
The horizontal, lateral, and rotational power that actually transfers to first-step quickness, cuts, and game speed.
Add 2–3 per lower body or speed session.
Which one are you adding first?👇
