They actually report that between 60 and 70% of MLB players played at least some football in HS!
This is more an adult driven issue than anything else.
Recently had a fully committed D1 baseball player ask my advice on playing football his senior season. I told him that most of the ⚾️ adults will tell him not to. Most of the 🏈 adults will tell him to play.
My opinion is both of these groups are coming from a selfish position and not being great mentors if they give him a straight answer like that.
My advice? You already know what you want to do. Stop listening to the noise from folks with outside motives….and do what YOU want to do.
He called me an hour later and said “I want to play football”.
I said “well there is your answer”.
And I would have said the exact same thing had he said the opposite.
Nobody teaches or cares to learn the appropriate way to move the body. All emphasis is just on "getting tired" or "breaking a sweat" - Just finish the set or exercise at all costs... The purpose of training is to master movement. Bench presses shouldn't hurt or put stress on the shoulders, if it does it's because we haven't learned how to move correctly.

If needed, a third game will be played 30 minutes after game two.
Soreness inhibits productive training.
Soreness is a product of volume/novelty, so we want to minimize that as much as possible by effective programming.
If an athlete is sore, you will see a large reduction in MU recruitment leading to poor output which then dampens stimulus.
College coaches don’t listen to a 3rd party. They talk to your HS coach and make their own evaluation.
They don’t get you “more exposure.” They send out mass emails and they go in every recruiting coach’s junk folder.
1. DM’s and emails can be done on your own.
2. Go to camps (what level can you play?)
Don’t waste $$$$$$
