Ditch the motion and use small-sided games to teach players how to exploit space, read the floor, and create advantages. If neutral, focus on simple triggers like blast cuts or gets.
Here's a simple tip to instantly improve your practice drills: STOP ending reps on the shot attempt.
It's critical for defense to work on ending possessions with a DREB, as well as offense continueing to pursue. Simply allowing defense to clear the ball and play until the score encourages players to think about "what's next" on each shot attempt.
