Hey, the @MentalMagicII program is going to Elkhart High School starting July 30th. @Coach_Ward13 has high hopes for his boys' tennis team. I had a great time meeting him. He's one of those awesome young coaches who are keeping the tradition alive. Go Lions!
LAZY vs. HARD WORK
"Lazy people do a little work and think they should be winning! Winners work as hard as possible and still wonder if they are being lazy!"

🚨 A CU Professor told Coach Prime that his players were goofing off in class... Deion proceeded to CHEW THEM OUT in front of the whole team 😂
The teacher sent Coach Prime a fiery e-mail last month, claiming that his players "didn't follow material," and also "made it clear that they don't want to be in the classroom."
The Professor specifically complained about the effort of the student-athletes. They would join Zoom Breakout rooms for attendance, but then stayed silent & contributed nothing when discussion began 🤦♂️
Instead of ignoring the Professor's letter, Deion decided to address the team. Here was his important message...
🎙️ | Coach Prime: "Now what bothers me severely, is all the guys we're about to see...[Coach Phillips], let me know if they have a draft grade." 😳
And Coach Prime's totally correct here. Many of his players won't play professionally, but Deion still wants them to be great men when they leave...
After calling out the individual players, Deion ended by explaining that being a man is not ducking responsibility, whether it be on the field or in the classroom 💯
Coach Prime not only held his players accountable, he provided them all an IMPORTANT life lesson. This is why so many recruits are coming to Boulder...
During a study at Harvard in the 1950s, Dr. Curt Richter placed rats in a pool of water to test how long they could tread water.
On average they'd give up and sink after 15 minutes.
But right before they gave up due to exhaustion, the researchers would pluck them out, dry them off, let them rest for a few minutes - and put them back in for a second round.
In this second try - how long do you think they lasted?
Remember - they had just swam until failure only a few short minutes ago...
How long do you think?
Another 15 minutes?
10 minutes?
5 minutes?
No!
60 hours!
That's not an error.
That's right! 60 hours of swimming.
The conclusion drawn was that since the rats BELIEVED that they would eventually be rescued, they could push their bodies way past what they previously thought impossible.
I will leave you with this thought:
If hope can cause exhausted rats to swim for that long, what could a belief in yourself and your abilities, do for you?
Remember what you’re capable of. Remember why you’re here. "
Keep swimming. #Takeyourday

3. Give up
4. Get distracted
5. Lose their temper
6. Panic
7. Dwell on mistakes
8. Get complacent
9. Stay in their comfort zone
10. Play selfishly

Rafa Nadal saved match point against Alcaraz like this.
Full stretch forehand down the line winner.
Rafa hasn’t played a match in 2 months.
He’s only played 7 matches since 2023.
But being a goat is like riding a bike, you never forget. 🇪🇸🐐

9 years ago, with Kobe Bryant injured, the Lakers celebrated their first win in weeks with 14 wins and 41 losses.
The Black Mamba's reaction says it all, without saying one word. 😂
Winning is a momentary triumph, but being a winner is a state of mind.
It's about the relentless pursuit of excellence, the courage to face challenges, and the resilience to rise after every fall.
A true winner is defined not by the victories, but by the spirit that refuses to be defeated.
