@TyMartinCRE Jim Gaffigan did a hilarious bit on drinking vs using mayonnaise. If you need a laugh during the journey, check it out.
Keep going, it just gets better.
@nicholosberry Your brand is the story people tell themselves about you and the expectations they have about what you’re going to be like when you walk in the room…
Social media is a noisy space.
The masses can convince you to review your metrics often, and it's not a bad idea depending on your goals.
For most of us, me included, social media should be a place to speak your mind and develop a community that enjoys your perspective. Onward.
I texted a buddy and asked him what he would do with the post. Would he re-word the post? Add an image or a GIF?
His entire text back: "Whatever you do, don't take it down. I'll be in touch later..."
I moved on to other things and figured I'd revisit the idea at night.
By the end of the day I had doubled my newsletter audience, yet the post still sat there "unseen" by the vast majority.
My buddy texted me back and said: "There's a lot that I would do differently, but the post is in your tone and your style, so who cares?"
There's the answer.
I doubled my newsletter audience with a post that "failed" yesterday.
According to the metrics provided by @LinkedIn it was my worst performing post in the last year. A few comments, a few engagements, very low view count.
@jayclouse@JesseItzler@ShaanVP@thesamparr One of my favorite “deep-dives” of MFM. I love when they let their guests speak their truth so others can hear their passion. Jesse is so good, he has so much why behind his actions.
Thanks for summarizing/clipping this out, good reminder.
Matt and I gave a keynote in 2018 called:
How to Obtain 6,000 Leads This Year
I'm still handling calls and texts asking how to do it.
I've yet to meet an agency owner that has implemented the system we described in detail.
