The weight room is about RESPECT. If you miss workouts, or are late, you disrespect your coaches and teammates, and the importance of training. And you are a distraction to those doing things right.
@SHSCoachMueller Yes I was just curious because at the point of contact on the field the “truck” or “hit” would require the full hip extension displayed probably in a clean. So the person with all three mass+m/s+clean weight, would in theory be able to hit harder. Just wanted to get your thought.
𝗕𝗮𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 ... NOBODY reminds anyone of the standards
𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 ... COACHES remind team of the standards
𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 ... CAPTAINS remind team of the standards
𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 ... EVERYONE reminds each other of the standards
INTENTION changes everything!
Two athletes. Same starting point. Same exact program. But one keeps improving… and the other stays stuck.
Why?
Athlete A is just going through the motions. Showing up because they have to. Checking the box.
Athlete B shows UP. Every rep has purpose. Every drill has focus. Every session has effort behind it.
That’s the difference between average and elite.
If you want to become an elite athlete, don’t just be present; be intentional. Work hard. Compete. Show up with purpose.
This post put together by performwithpete needs to be seen by as many athletes and coaches as possible! Amazing visual and an important lesson on how to maximize every training session. Over a thousand training sessions INTENT becomes the difference between success and knowing you could have been more!
The best coaches I’ve been around aren’t doing anything special.
They do the basics.
Over and over.
With real intent.
While everyone else is distracted by everything.
Leaders create leaders.
Leaders are come with me guys.
Leaders have great passion.
Leaders bring positive energy.
Leaders serve others.
Leaders set an example.
Leaders are consistent.
Leaders are accountable to themselves and others.

The move to Hampton County was worth it. I learned, grew, built real relationships, and experienced what it truly means to be part of a team. Grateful for everyone who supported me—and even those who doubted me, because you fueled me. Coming back next year even better 🦾&
More than grateful to be apart of this team, everyone doubted us this year but we made sure to put that work in over summer and gained each others trust but it was a couple things we was lacking that's why we fell short of the State Championship. We still made a pretty historical run for Hampton County High School!!🌀🌀#FearTheStrom
