@MeathBirder Along with, rooks, jackdaws and magpies. I grew up an avid birder in Ashbourne in the 70's and 80's. There were abundant skylark, yellowhammers, meadow pipit, twite, redpoll, brambling, linnet, hundreds of sparrows and murmurations of thousands of lapwings on the bog road

@thefaaside Such a shame, a direct result of all the retail parks. One of Irelands finest medieval towns, would be on a par with Kilkenny if done right. Look at Ardee for comparison, and it's almost thriving streetscape, no retail parks and everything on or just off the mainstreet.

RE-TURN MADNESS
When filling a press in my apartment with two big bags of bottles rather than putting them in my little kitchen green bin I felt mad at @EamonRyan and @greenparty_ie for the utter idiocy of the whole thing.
When putting the two big bags of cans and bottles in the back of my car and driving them several miles to my supermarket I felt mad @FineGael and @fiannafailparty for continuing the charade.
When feeding bottles and cans into a machine which stopped working half way through I felt mad @returnireland for squirrelling away millions in taxpayer money on high salaries and on God knows what else, while at the same time causing green bin prices to increase.
The entire scheme should be shut down and the stupid machines should be recycled.
