the best part about AI coding is that it gives power back to individual contributors

it always sat weirdly with me that most software engineers' career progression was to become managers and continuously become more and more removed from code

the best software engineers are impressively technical not impressively talkative

@arpit_bhayani we literally had a down time of 30 mins (that too long), RCA revealed lead merged a fix which he thought AI made mistake and changed the response structure, and the customer were depending on it heavily :)
Now I get it what causing so many down times around the companies

@piyushgarg_dev I dont think anyone puts the nginx ingress directly with pods, there something called services in kubernetes, that actually handles all pod IP and identification, ingress just hits the path to that SVC, and that svc in turn have have IP and port of the pods, which handels it.

I joined a company 2weeks back, whatever I open, whichever task I pick, I highlight alteast 2 bugs everyday

let me predict the future:
1. Vibe coder, creates a tool
2. the tool starts to get customer and starts hitting scale.
3. then he realise AI is not helping scale anymore
4. then he either hires actual SDE or freelancer develper, who can actually make it scale and maintain repo

I think if you have the clear idea how to implement a feature with edge cases covered, AI is best tool.

If you are mindlessly relying on AI then your service's reliability becomes a trade off.
