It’s a coaching issue more than anything because the ball doesn’t even reach him. He’s strong in the air and you see it at defensive setpieces

This conversation is in the context of football and beating defenders.
Footballers generally don’t hit peak speed because they hardly ever need to reach it and that’s why you’d see defenders you don’t think are particularly quick being in the top 10 for highest speed recorded.
The context is that Mbappe Accelerates faster from a standing start and has a high top speed so he maintains a high level of speed when he gets past defenders. He does it in a way no one has in football (at least that I’ve watched)
