“But you know who had a really great schlong? Payne Stewart. Rest in peace. He had those great pants. You could fit a few migrants in there. They call this the weave.”
@arclite002@ThesisPi@Michphil1998 That’s the way democracies work.
I live in Alberta
The party I voted for didn’t win because rural areas tend to vote UCP.
It doesn’t mean my vote didn’t count, just that there were more people who don’t feel the way I do.
I can be unhappy about it, but it’s not undemocratic
@Michphil1998@ThesisPi Last election, both provincially and federally, the person I voted for did not win. It doesn’t mean it wasn’t democratic, and it would be irresponsible to say it was.
@Michphil1998@ThesisPi I don’t think you understand what the word democracy means.
People get to vote for who represents them. Just because you don’t agree with their choice doesn’t mean it’s undemocratic.
@ReviewOfHockey The best possible solution may be if a player can play AA and affiliate to a JrB program. Get in 5+ games and some practices.
Regardless keep working hard.
@ReviewOfHockey I think players and teams have to understand the difference between a top end AA kid and a lower/middle AAA kid isn’t much. Might just be dependent on where you played last year. Kids get labeled AAA or AA. Tough to change that.
"The Provincial Government’s decision to unilaterally claw back funding for #greenlineyyc sets a concerning precedent for all future infrastructure projects across Alberta. This move sends a clear signal that no project, regardless of its scope or significance, is safe"

No this isn’t even mathematically possible.
Because even if you assume that individual taxpayers pay all taxes directly or indirectly — and don’t get any $ back from government and corporations don’t pay any taxes themselves…
All government revenues are 41% of all GDP

@runninref99@kevinsheehanDC I don’t disagree that those other things are issues.
But just because other things are crappy doesn’t excuse the use of that name. Especially for a team that calls the capital of the US home.
@bobsheets16@kevinsheehanDC I’m not even a casual fan, I am just against bigotry and Racism.
On a different note, I don’t believe you understand the character in your avatar or the point the movie was making about how his people were treated.
