@kunchenguid Probably true for a personal weekend project, but without tests Vinext or Bun's rewrite wouldn't be feasible. This conclusion overlooks the value of tests in defining expected behavior
@sqs@robinebers Devin having SWE-2 is a huge advantage. Amp/Orbs may be a better product, but for budget-conscious users, Devin's subscription seems to offer better overall value at the same price
@thorstenball@galin_denev@willcb What does this part mean? I get more than $20 / $200 agent usage for subscription (not BYOK)? I thought Amp always counts using raw model pricing
@sqs Thanks, that would be great. At first I thought why I'd ever want to pay a subscription just for a harness. Now I can see it's not "just a harness". Orb as a Service is gonna be a huge business
100% agree, but won't be too soon yet. In my company there are still many people say they don't trust AI because they say AI is dumb and hallucinates. They still write all the code by hands and only use AI as a better Google Translate 😅
@AmpCode@sqs@thorsten Is it a legit usage to make an Orb persistent agent? Like I have my "SRE agent" that can look into my server, check logs, investigate, etc. Can I also let an Orb SSH into my server? don't know if I should treat Orbs as persistent agents or just lightweight, per-task sandboxes
@cnakazawa lol I just got an opposite one. I have an instruction exactly for this: "do not edit when I only say check or investigate". It worked perfectly for Sol but Astra is super cautious about that. When I expected it to start working already it just asked for another confirmation
