@philthatremains Government can claim it made sure to word it so they didn't mandate ID verification. It does however put the burden of proof that they actively protect children. How do you prove you tried to protect the kid, if you didn't know they were a kid.

@IfindRetards Because bluesky in those countries agreed to age verification. If you join bluesky in the UK or Australia you cannot DM and the feed is blocked to limit only what the governments deem safe content. Only after you verify age can you see the rest of social media or message people.

@Holden_Culotta@theHFDF People act like tamping down pharma would be hard. Hit their advertising. Why are people asking how to stop pharma ads.... reverse the FDA decision to lower requirements for listing possible side effects. They complained because it made advertising too expensive.
