لم يكن يدافع عن المدينة سوى أبنائها وبعض المتطوعين الفلسطينيين والعرب، كتب عن حصار يافا بشكل مفصل الباحث بلال شلش في كتابه "يافا.. دمٌ على حجر: حامية يافا وفعلها العسكري: دراسة ووثائق".

التدمير والقتل والتهجير هو في صلب العقيدة الصهيونية وليست ردة فعل على عمل مقاوم، تدمير المباني بعد تهجير أهالها حصل في أكثر من 500 قرية فلسطينية بعد النكبة، قلة قليلة جدًا نجت من التدمير، ما يحصل في غزة ليس سوى استمرار لـ 77 عامًا من الإبادة الجماعية.

The International Olympic Committee last night banned Indonesia from hosting any international sports events of any kind for the indefinite future—because it chose not to allow athletes from Israel into its country.

Horrified by the slaughter in Gaza, the world’s fourth most populous nation declined to offer visas to the Israeli team for the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, now running in Jakarta.

To punish Indonesia, the IOC yesterday made a massive attack on Indonesia’s ability to host global sports events. It said the country will not be allowed to host Olympic-related events of any kind, and the IOC will tell all international sport federations around the world that they should not allow Indonesia to host any further meetings or tournaments.

DOUBLE STANDARDS
Athletes around the world have been surprised by the double standards.

In 2022, western countries started to launch a huge number of sanctions on Russia (presently more than 23,000) and the IOC suspended the Russian Olympic Committee in October 2023.

However, any attempts to launch any type of sanction on Israel often get a harsh reaction from western governments—and from some “international” bodies like the IOC.

This deep-rooted loyalty to Israel is causing a major rift between the west’s 13% of humanity and the majority of the human world, 76% of which consists of Asians and Africans, and 87% of whom live outside the west. Criticism of Israel is heavily restricted in Germany, and similar laws are being passed in the U.S., Australia and other western nations.
