@brakeboosted@HenryWi86212968 While this is true, the way the software works is so much worse this year, because of the ramp-down rate, speed-dependent power curve, Power Limited Pending, grip-limited zones, power-reduced sectors, higher speed threshold sectors, MGU-K reduction reset points. It's a giant mess

@MattiaBarzaghii That makes sense, but why wasn't his ICE not even delivering full power? You need 10,500 RPM for the maximum power from ICE, which wasn't the case. If it was purely down to no battery, he should've atleast had engine power.
Russell took Eau Rouge/Raidillon in 8th gear: McLaren used 7th despite having the shortest gear ratios on the grid, while ANT even briefly dropped to 6th!
Could the deployment software have been fooled by taking these corners in the highest gear? His rpm dropped to 10,176, below the 10,500 rpm threshold required to unlock full fuel flow → the ICE wasn't even running at full power!
@m_lubieniecki@TonyFromDiscord I haven't implemented elevation yet, because I have no clue how to integrate the z coordinates from FastF1 and the x and y coords from the GitHub data you showed me. They are slightly mismatched because of smoothing, wrapping, FastF1 frequency being lower etc. so need to fix that

@m_lubieniecki@TonyFromDiscord I think the solution to this is that ICE power through corners depends a lot on the gears drivers are in. So modeling an ICE as a proper drivetrain instead of a magic 400kW provider might fix the problem. Drivers are being told to hold 7th gear in certain straights, for example
