I grew up in Main Market, Onitsha — one of the most active commercial hubs in West Africa.
My family were in the exchange business. Helping importers move money across borders to China. Every day, I watched traders navigate a system that worked.
I didn't wait to grow up before I tried to fix it.
As a young adult, I started @CoinPap — a crypto-to-fiat cross-border payment company. We helped Nigerian importers pay Chinese suppliers in Yuan and USDT, years before crypto was mainstream in Nigeria. The business went viral between 2017 and 2021 through word of mouth alone — trader networks, and market communities.
To this day, most people who knew me from that era call me CoinPap.
What I'm most proud of isn't the virality. It's that the Nigeria-China payment corridor we were running back then — people are only just entering it now.
Then I made a deliberate decision to pause and invest in myself.
I moved to the UK for my MBA at the University of Northampton. Then I did something unexpected — I started a property business. Bluewool Properties Limited provided alternative accommodation for business travellers, NHS contractors, travelling medical workers, and vulnerable people, including children placed by local councils.
Four years later, it was a 6-figure business.
Building @BluewoolProps taught me things CoinPap couldn't — how to manage operations, build systems, serve clients with real accountability, and grow a business in a market where you have no existing advantage.
But payments never left my mind.
In early 2026, I made the decision to come back — with everything I'd learned.
Zed Systems Limited @zed__ng was born.
A fintech platform built specifically for Nigerians. Not adapted from a Western model. Not localised at the edges. Built from the inside, by someone who has lived this problem across three different chapters of his life.
The pain points we're addressing are ones I've felt personally:
→ KYC processes so complex they kill user trust before the first transaction
→ International transfer fees that quietly bleed SMEs and freelancers
→ No single platform that handles FX, payments, utilities, virtual cards, and invoicing together
→ Products built for other markets, with Nigeria treated as a secondary consideration
Zed brings it all under one roof. Local and international payments. Real-time currency conversion with rate locking. Virtual cards. Utilities. Invoicing. CBN-compliant from day one. Mobile-first by design.
I am not a technical founder. But I have understood this problem — at street level, at business level, and now at product level — for longer than most people in this space have been paying attention to it.
This time, I am building it to last.
If you work in fintech, payments, African infrastructure, or you are simply someone who believes this market deserves better — I would love to connect.

I would like to express my gratitude to all the peace-loving, freedom-loving patriots and pan-Africanists who rallied around the world on Wednesday April 30, 2025 to support our commitment and our vision for a new Burkina Faso and a new Africa, free from imperialism and neo-colonialism.
Your active solidarity and this demonstration of sympathy strenghtens our conviction that the fight we are waging for a fairer and more equitable world is justified.
We will never bend our backs in the face of adversity; we will stand firm until our peoples are truly emancipated. With you, we are certain that victory over the forces of evil is at hand.
Together, in solidarity, we will defeat imperialism and neo-colonialism for a free, dignified and sovereign Africa.
The highlight of my day was having a conversation with Dr. Ned Okonkwo yesterday about what we are building at @BluewoolProps. He was amazed at what we’ve done so far that he had to personally share his details with me.
