Pilot Smit Machchar, speaking with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi from a hospital in the UAE:
"I feel an immense sense of pride. At that moment, I was fighting for my life, but I realized that if I didn't get up and act – after being seriously injured and lying on the floor – no one else would. I've been flying planes for 17 years and have been a captain for the last 11 years, and I know what's happening on the plane, even with my eyes closed. I knew that only one more push was needed to open the door. Despite my injuries, I opened it, and the rest of the crew came in and did their part. I knew I couldn't let the passengers die."
My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.
Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.
He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.
I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.
He is a true hero.
THE BOOK OF ENOCH - The Entire Story
The Book of Enoch is one of the most controversial texts ever left out of the Bible. Written more than two thousand years ago, and said to have been composed by the ancient scribe Enoch, the only man in the Book of Genesis who never died, it tells of a world before the flood, when two hundred rebellious angels abandoned heaven to take human wives, when their monstrous offspring, the giants known as the Nephilim, ravaged the earth, and when a single man was carried to the ends of creation and shown things no other prophet had ever seen.
Rejected by the early Christian church in the fifth century and lost to the western world for over a thousand years, the Book of Enoch was recovered by chance in the eighteenth century in the mountains of Ethiopia, where it had been preserved by the Ethiopian church since the fourth century. Its authenticity was finally confirmed in 1947 with the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, where eleven separate manuscripts of the book were found among the ruins, the oldest of them written two centuries before the birth of Christ. In this video, we tell the entire story of the Book of Enoch from beginning to end.
The fall of the Watchers. The rise of the Nephilim. The great flood that was sent to wipe them from the earth. The journeys of Enoch to the ends of the world, to the mountain of the dead, and to the throne of God himself. And the extraordinary history of how a book left out of the Bible was lost, rediscovered, and finally returned to the world.
Some of the latest updates on the Flydubai plane attack:
• Flydubai flight FZ1073, a Boeing 737 MAX 8 traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv, was carrying 174 passengers, including 27 children.
• Israeli officials say the Omani co pilot stabbed the captain and attempted to take control of the aircraft and crash it, potentially a 9/11 style attack. His affiliation remains under investigation.
• During the incident, the aircraft plunged from roughly 33,000 feet to 17,000 feet in under 1 minute.
• The aircraft transmitted code 7700 for a general emergency and later 7500, the international code for unlawful interference or hijacking.
• The wounded captain managed to release the cockpit door, allowing passengers and crew to intervene. Israeli passengers and crew members entered the cockpit and subdued the co pilot.
• A doctor and nurse aboard the flight provided initial medical treatment to the wounded captain.
• Additional Flydubai pilots who were traveling aboard the aircraft took control and safely landed the plane in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.
• The captain and co pilot were taken to a hospital in Saudi Arabia.
• Israeli fighter jets were scrambled while the incident was unfolding.
• Saudi and Israeli intelligence authorities are investigating.
• Saudi Arabia declined an Israeli request to send Israeli military aircraft to retrieve the passengers, Flydubai instead arranged another aircraft to bring them to Israel. The rescue flight has now landed safely at Ben Gurion Airport in Israel.
• No passenger required urgent medical treatment after disembarking at Ben Gurion Airport, including 2 passengers who were bleeding, according to Magen David Adom crews stationed beside the aircraft.
• Israeli authorities are expected to question passengers as part of the investigation into what happened aboard FZ1073.
Lebanese citizens may now constitute less than half of the people living in Lebanon, according to recent demographic estimates, amid mass emigration and the large-scale presence of migrant populations from Muslim-majority countries, including Syria, Bangladesh, Sudan, Egypt, and Ethiopia, on top of 230,000 Palestinians.
Demographic estimates put the number of Lebanese currently residing in the country at around 3.5–3.6 million compared with approximately 3.7–4.1 million non-Lebanese residents, potentially leaving Lebanese at only around 46–49% of the population.
Lebanon was established with a Christian majority in 1920, and its subsequent demographic transformation shows how mass immigration can erase a country’s culture, replace its native population, and overtake the nation in just a few decades.
Christians are now estimated to make up only around 16% of the country’s population, compared with roughly 75% Muslims.

According to reports, the details of the mid-air drama have emerged: the co-pilot—acting as an attacker—began stabbing the captain in an attempt to seize control of the plane and crash it, with its passengers on board, into Israeli territory.
The captain resisted and activated distress signals. Flight attendants attempted to enter the cockpit, while Israeli passengers who realized what was happening forcibly broke in, subdued the co-pilot, and removed him from the cockpit. The captain, having sustained multiple stab wounds, was incapacitated.
Miraculously, two Israeli pilots were on board flying back to Israel; they were the ones who landed the aircraft, which otherwise would have crashed. "A great miracle happened to us today," said one of the passengers.

In 1965, Bishop Fulton Sheen warned about the dangers of toxic empathy, saying it would ruin the United States:
“False compassion… is a pity shown not to the mugged, but to the mugger; not to the family of the murdered, but to the murderer.”
The greeting tells you the difference.
Jesus:
“If you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?” Matthew 5:47
Muhammad:
“Do not initiate greeting the Jews and the Christians. When you meet one of them on the road, force him to the narrowest part of it.” Sahih Muslim 2167
Which one is morally superior?
The first person Jesus promised heaven to was a criminal who spent part of that morning cursing Him.
Matthew 27:44. The thieves also, who were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.
Both of them. Plural. Matthew and Mark both say that the two men dying beside Him joined the crowd and mocked Him.
Then something happened to one of them.
Nobody preached to him. Nobody gave him a tract. He watched a man get stripped, nailed, mocked by priests, gambled over by soldiers, and somewhere in those hours he changed his mind about who was hanging in the middle.
Luke 23:40. Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
He turns on his own partner first.
Then: And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds.
He doesn't minimize it. Doesn't blame Rome. Doesn't say he fell in with the wrong crowd. He says: I earned this cross.
Then: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
The only man in Jerusalem that day who publicly declared Jesus innocent was a condemned criminal with nails in his wrists. Pilate had said it and then washed his hands. Peter had said it and then denied it. The disciples had scattered.
A thief said it out loud from a cross and couldn't run.
Then he says the sentence that should stop you cold.
Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
Look at what he's looking at while he says it.
A man who can't move. Naked. Bleeding out. Nailed to wood between two criminals. No army. No crown. No miracle. The sky going dark and His own mother sobbing at His feet.
And this man calls Him Lord and says kingdom.
Everyone else that day used the word king as a joke. The soldiers jammed thorns on His head and knelt down, mocking: Hail, King of the Jews. The priests shouted Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross. Pilate nailed a sign above His head in three languages: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS, and meant it as an insult to the whole nation.
Everybody in the story said the word. One man believed it.
And think about the faith required. Every other person who trusted Jesus in the gospels had evidence. They saw blind eyes open. They saw a dead man walk out of a tomb. They watched Him still a storm.
This man saw none of it. He saw Jesus fail. He saw Him lose, publicly, completely, in the most humiliating way the Roman Empire could engineer.
And he looked at total defeat and said: I want to be in your kingdom.
That's the greatest act of faith recorded in the Bible, and it came from a man who had hours left to live.
Now look at what he asked for.
Remember me.
That's all. Not save me. Not take me with you. Just when you come into whatever it is you're coming into, think of me. He asked for a thought. A memory. The smallest thing a man can ask.
And look at the answer.
Luke 23:43. Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
He asked to be remembered someday. Jesus said today.
He asked for a thought. Jesus said With me.
He asked to be included. Jesus said paradise.
Now that word. Paradise.
In Greek it's paradeisos. It isn't originally a religious word at all; it's an old Persian term for a walled garden, an enclosed park belonging to a king.
And when Jewish scholars translated the Hebrew Bible into Greek, that's the word they chose for one specific place.
Genesis 2:8. And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden.
Paradeisos. The garden.
So read the promise again with that in your ears.
A man is dying for his crimes, and the Son of God tells him: today you'll be with me in the garden.
The garden humanity was thrown out of. Genesis 3:24: God placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
An angel with a burning sword stood at that gate for the whole Old Testament. Nobody got back in. Not Abraham. Not Moses. Not David.
And the first human being told he was going back in was a convicted criminal, and the announcement was made by a man bleeding to death three feet away from him.
The sword came down on the wrong man, and the gate came open.
Now count what the thief had.
No baptism. He was nailed to a cross; he wasn't going anywhere near water.
No good works. His hands were fixed to wood. He could not physically do one single thing for God for the rest of his life.
No restitution. Whoever he stole from never got it back.
No church. No membership, no giving, no service, no years of faithfulness.
No time. He had hours.
He had nothing. He came with empty hands, an honest confession, and one sentence of faith.
And he is the only person in the entire Bible that Jesus personally, verbally, by name guaranteed would be with Him in paradise that same day.
The man we are most certain is in heaven did the fewest works of anyone in Scripture.
That should wreck your arithmetic.
Because you've been keeping a ledger. Years of church against years you were gone. Prayers against failures. The version of you people see against the one you actually are. You've got some idea that there's a number you have to hit before God will look at you and you're behind on it, and you know it.
The thief had nothing on his side of the ledger but a lifetime of theft and a morning of mockery.
Jesus didn't ask him for anything else.
And notice: Jesus never told him to clean up first. Never said if you had more time. Never asked what he'd stolen or from whom. The man asked to be remembered, and Jesus handed him the garden.
If you're reading this thinking you're too far gone, or too late, or too dirty, or that you'd need years to get right before God would want you.
He saved a man who had six hours left and couldn't move his hands.
He can do something with what's left of yours.
Say what the thief said.
Remember me.

He later described receiving an "experiential knowledge" of Christ’s Blood shed for us and said he could barely lift the chalice.

When they taught us Islam in school, in a Muslim country, the teachers were not embarrassed. They were very proud of it.
They taught how Islam invaded other lands, defeated them, and converted them under the sword. They did not hide it. They celebrated it. They called it “futuhat” which means “openings.” Those countries were “closed.” Muslims “opened” them with the blade.
Fath al-Andalus (Spain). Fath Misr (Egypt). Fath North Africa. Fath al-Maghrib al-Aqsa (Morocco). All of it: conquest. All of it: taught as glory.
Now they sell the West a different product: “Islam did not spread by the sword.”
That is not history. That is a sales pitch for people who never sat in those classrooms.

On September 12 1683, King John III Sobieski led the largest cavalry charge in history
18,000 horsemen charged the Ottoman troops besieging Vienna. The King led the charge at the head of 3000 Polish Winged Hussars
Today is the 343rd anniversary
Today is the Feast of the Most Holy Name of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
It can trace its origin to Sept. 1683, when Vienna was on the brink of falling to the Ottomans.
Polish King John III Sobieski led a united army of nearly 80,000 Christians — spearheaded by 3,000 elite Winged Hussars — to break the siege.
In the decisive cavalry charge, they shouted “Jesus, Mary save us!”
When the Turks were routed and victory was secured, Pope Innocent XI declared a churchwide feast for the Holy Name of Mary, which we still celebrate today!
