@const_ Design cost isn't the bottleneck; construction is. Anyone building a $500K+ custom home is already top 10-15% income. At that point, an architect fee is a rounding error on the total project. The people priced out of architects are also priced out of building.
@const_ If an individual has the money to build a new construction, why wouldn't they want the human touch involved. For a premium project I would expect someone to design the home by hand and not outsource to AI.

I rebuilt the series with every reported abortion since 1973 added back as a live birth. The counterfactual lands at ~2.04; the gap to replacement is almost exactly the abortion volume. ๐งต
But both lines decline. Structural drivers (housing, childcare, delayed marriage) pull fertility down regardless.
South Korea (0.72) and Italy (1.2) have near-zero abortion and the worst collapses on Earth.
