Humanity is missing these days. Even in our country. No one speaks of unity, love or affection. Media & political parties are busy with such opinions of hatred & creating an influence on the general public. Those who are responsible citizens are not bothered about what we are giving to the present & next generation. We have forgotten the lessons from the Hiroshima & Nagasaki nuclear attacks. People must understand no religion creates difference but it's the interpreter who creates one. When I retired in 2021 with a dream to influence our young generation for the betterment of people and our great Nation and its heritage I have jotted for our citizens if its suit may be shared with others. Jai Hind!! #love #affection #bonding #responsibility #nationfirst #duties #citizen #proudindian #heritage #Soldiers

This is your perception and thought process that is nothing to do what you perceive. Noone of the civilian present there came forward to save them. The same attitude of Shanu Kee! So its our duty to save our blood. Noone is asking any extra favour but the duty to arrest them whobare moving free after 22 days.
CONTINUING ATTACKS ON VETERANS AND FAMILY : SERIOUS ISSUE AND WE MUST STAND TOGETHER FOR JUSTICE !! FORWARDING THE REQUEST: MUST SHARE!
From a Sikh Light Infantry Veteran – Sapinder Singh
I am Sapinder Singh, a proud veteran of the Sikh Light Infantry.
I served my country with honour. Today I stand with a bleeding heart, not for myself, but for the dignity of every veteran and every family that looks to the uniform for protection.
On the night of 3rd October 2026, my family and I were brutally attacked outside our home in Village Berpur (Kherpur), Block Majri, SAS Nagar.
While I was on duty as a security guard, a group led by Gurmukh Singh, his son Lovpreet Singh, Sulakhan Singh, Gurnoor Singh, Prabhjot Singh and 5-6 others came to my house, hurled abuses, threw bricks and stones, and then launched a violent assault.
I was pushed to the ground and struck on the head with an iron rod.
My daughter Simranpreet Kaur was slapped, thrown to the ground, and then molested / outraged in modesty by Lovpreet Singh.
My elderly father Kashmira Singh and my brother Satnam Singh were also beaten.
A sharp-edged weapon (kirpan-like) was used on me.
We were left injured and bleeding. We had to be admitted to Civil Hospital, Kurali.
FIR No. 0096 dated 04.10.2026 has already been registered at Police Station Block Majri under Sections 74, 126(2), 115(2), 118(1), 351(2), 191(3) & 190 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Yet the accused are still roaming free.
I demand immediate and fair action:
Arrest of all named accused without further delay.
Protection for me and my family.
Speedy investigation and charge-sheet.
This is not just an attack on one family. This is an attack on a Sikh Light Infantry veteran who served the nation. If a soldier’s family can be assaulted like this in Punjab, what message does it send to every serving and retired jawan?
I appeal to all fellow veterans, especially those from Sikh Light Infantry and nearby units – please stand with me. Your voice and presence matter.
I request the following authorities for urgent intervention:
@BhagwantMann (CM Punjab)
@DGPPunjabPolice@PunjabPoliceInd@SSP_SASNagar@dcmohali@adgpi (Indian Army) – for the protection and dignity of veterans
A veteran does not beg for justice.
He only asks that the system he served does not abandon him when he needs it most.
Jai Hind.

JANTAR MANTAR, THE NATIONAL FLAG AND THE LAW: IS PEACEFUL PATRIOTISM AN OFFENCE?
Can unfurling the National Flag at Jantar Mantar be wrong merely because citizens are protesting?
The National Flag represents our Constitution, freedom and the sacrifices of countless Indians. It belongs to every citizen, including those who peacefully question the government.
Articles 19(1)(a) and 19(1)(b) of the Constitution guarantee freedom of speech and expression and the right to assemble peacefully without arms, subject to constitutionally permissible restrictions.
Is Jantar Mantar a “Prohibited Place”?
Section 2(8) of the Official Secrets Act, 1923, defines a “prohibited place” by reference to specified defence establishments and other places falling within the statutory definition. Certain other locations require a Central Government notification in the Official Gazette, subject to the applicable statutory conditions.
Jantar Mantar does not automatically become a prohibited place under the Official Secrets Act merely because it is a protest venue or because restrictions are imposed on public gatherings.
Authorities may regulate protests under other applicable laws or lawful orders. However, regulating a gathering does not, by itself, convert the venue into a “prohibited place” under the Official Secrets Act.
What Has the Supreme Court Said?
In Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan v. Union of India (2018), the Supreme Court recognised the importance of peaceful protest and addressed the need to balance protesters’ fundamental rights with the rights of residents and the public.
The legal position is clear in principle: peaceful protest is a constitutional right, but it remains subject to lawful and reasonable restrictions.
Is Unfurling the Tricolour an Offence?
The Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971, and the Flag Code of India govern the respectful display and use of the National Flag.
Unfurling the Tricolour is not, by itself, automatically an offence. Any allegation must be assessed against the applicable law, the circumstances and any specific lawful restriction.
If an authority alleges a violation, it should identify the particular law or order and explain how the conduct contravened it.
THE CONSTITUTIONAL QUESTION
If citizens peacefully unfurl the National Flag to express their grievances, the issue is not whether they love their country. The issue is whether their conduct violates a specific, applicable legal restriction.
Patriotism and peaceful dissent are not mutually exclusive. Respect for the National Flag must coexist with respect for the Constitution that protects our freedoms.
THE TRICOLOUR BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE OF INDIA. PEACEFUL DISSENT IS NOT, BY ITSELF, DISLOYALTY TO THE NATION.
Jai Hind!

WHEN INSTITUTIONS BOW TO POWER, DEMOCRACY BEGINS TO DIE!
It increasingly appears that the heads of our institutions, which are constitutionally expected to function independently and fearlessly, have become mere puppets in the hands of the ruling regime. If institutions meant to uphold the Constitution, protect citizens' rights, and hold those in power accountable begin to appear subservient to the political executive, it raises deeply disturbing questions about the health of our democracy.
A democracy cannot survive on elections alone; it survives on independent institutions, fearless dissent, and the rule of law. When institutional independence is compromised, accountability weakens, public trust erodes, and the concentration of power becomes dangerous.
The greatest threat to democracy is not merely an authoritarian government, but the gradual weakening of the institutions that are supposed to restrain its authority.
A government may change through elections, but if institutions lose their independence, the very spirit of democracy stands endangered.
@ColAmitkumar The Government should make laws to punish any attacker of Veterans just like there is protection for Doctors. It’s time Babus sitting at Defence Ministry and Cabinet Secretary office work out deterrent mechanisms.
