“IIT Delhi to IIM Bangalore to IAS… but no one taught me how to handle loneliness.”

That one line by IAS officer Divya Mittal sparked a much-needed conversation about what education leaves out.

Despite studying at India’s top institutions and building an accomplished career in the civil services, she reflected on lessons schools and colleges rarely teach—how to handle failure, heartbreak, burnout, finances, communication, emotional regulation and loneliness.

Now, after resigning from the IAS, her reflections feel even more significant.

Because success isn’t just about ranks, degrees or titles. It’s also about knowing yourself, navigating life’s difficult moments and finding peace beyond achievements.

A significant milestone for sports infrastructure at Delhi Naval Station! The newly renovated Squash Courts at Naval Officers Mess Varuna were inaugurated on 17 June by RAdm Sandeep Mehta, DG Varsha, an ace squash player himself.

Renovated by MES, the two courts have been built to World Squash Federation standards in line with Indian Navy’s continued commitment to fitness and well-being of its personnel and families. The inauguration was followed by an exciting Inaugural Match.

7 अगस्त 2025, सुबह 09:00 बजे, ग्राम बंकांडा (#हापुड़) के प्रेम सरोवर में, #AtulyaGangaTrust, सैनिक बंधु हापुड़, सैनिक कल्याण एवं पुनर्वास निदेशालय, उत्तर प्रदेश एवं ग्राम पंचायत के सहयोग से, 'शहीद स्मृति उपवन' की स्थापना की जाएगी।

इस पहल के तहत, 1000 से अधिक पौधों का रोपण किया जाएगा, जिसमें वीर सैनिकों के परिवारजन, पूर्व सैनिक, छात्र, NCC कैडेट्स और स्थानीय ग्रामीण भाग लेंगे। यह उपवन, हमारे शहीदों को एक जीवंत श्रद्धांजलि है जो आने वाली पीढ़ियों को राष्ट्रसेवा, पर्यावरण सुरक्षा और जनभागीदारी का संदेश देगा।

🌿 आइए मिलकर, आर्मी वेटरन्स की इस पुण्य पहल में बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लें, जहाँ हर पौधा एक सैनिक के अमर बलिदान की कहानी कहेगा।
