4A Girls High Jump State Champion 🥇
Dru Zeka wins her second gold medal of the day for Wellington in the high jump with a jump of 5-8. This is her third straight year winning the high jump and will have the chance to four peat next year. #sportsinkansas
Dru Zeka continues to prove she is one of the most versatile and dominant track & field athletes in Kansas.
The Wellington junior recently cleared a new PR of 5-10 in the high jump, currently the best mark in Kansas this season and ranked 11th nationally.
Her long jump PR of 19-5 also ranks among the nation’s best, currently sitting top 20 nationally.
And that’s only part of it.
Zeka already owns five state titles in her career with two state meets still remaining. She’s also an All-State basketball player and comes from one of Kansas’ top athletic families.
Just some of her PRs:
High Jump, 5-10
Long Jump, 19-5
100 Hurdles, 14.79
300 Hurdles, 46.72
400m, 57.44
200m, 25.40
One of the best overall athletes in the country, regardless of class.
And honestly, 4A is lucky she can only do four events at state.

SIK Preseason Player to Watch: Dru Zeka returns to Wellington as a junior coming off a dominant all-around year, helping the Crusaders finish 24-1 and bring home the 4A state championship. A 5’9 guard with elite multi-sport credentials, she’s already a two-time state champion in both the high jump and 400m while also claiming a state title in long jump, all while earning second-team all-state honors on the basketball court. Her athleticism translates seamlessly to the floor, where she added 8.5 points per game last season and stepped into a bigger scoring role as the year progressed. Even with key departures, Zeka is confident in Wellington’s ability to reload and contend. “I am really excited to see how we grow as a team this year without Britt and Val. I think we are still a very good team and we hope to have the same success as last year,” she said. With strong pieces around her and a championship standard already set, Zeka enters the season ready to elevate her game and help keep Wellington in the 4A spotlight. Her older sister, Britt Zeka earned SIK All-Classes Defensive POY awards after the 2024-2025 state championship and now plays at Fort Hays. #sportsinkansas 📸: Katie Ford

.@kylan_gregory wasn't supposed to play basketball in 2025 after suffering a torn ACL early in the season. Instead, the
@WellingtonActiv junior powered through the pain to deliver a clutch performance in the Crusaders' historic 4A championship win.
