To be masculine in a society that hates man is a radical act, because it is tantamount to the willingness to be hated. It is to reject and deny all social feedback mechanisms rewarding appeasement and self-denigration. It is the ultimate go fuck yourself - the quintessential no.

If you're still asking which one is bigger between power and wealth.
It means you actually didn't witness the period of tension between Trump and Elon Musk.
One that changes everything fast:
Do the job above your title, but make sure the right people see it.
A lot of people work hard quietly and assume it’ll be noticed. It usually isn’t. Not because people are evil, just because everyone is busy protecting their own results.
The real cheat code is this balance:
Take initiative beyond your role, like solve problems, think ahead, and bring ideas
Then communicate it clearly and casually:
Quick updates
Sharing wins with your manager
Looping in stakeholders
Not bragging just for visibility.
Two people can do the same great work, but the one who makes it visible gets the promotion, the raise, and the opportunities.
Quiet excellence feels noble, but visible value gets rewarded.
never lose a battle in your youth.
because defeat scars you. a young man who tastes loss before he has built the internal architecture to process it does not learn resilience. he learns that losing is possible. and that knowledge, absorbed at the wrong depth, becomes the ceiling he spends the rest of his life building under.
the taste of defeat in youth does not stay in youth. it travels. it shows up in the hesitation before the risk. in the negotiation with the opportunity. in the voice that says you have been here before and you know how this ends. and the man who learned that voice at twenty will be hearing it at forty in the middle of the war that actually matters.
win the small battles with everything you have. not for the trophy. for the pattern. and identity built around winning approaches the big war differently than identity built around having already lost something it never fully recovered from.
who you became at twenty was decided by what you taught yourself defeat meant before you were old enough to know the difference between a battle and a war. winning is all about taste. acquire it by winning and only winning.
You don’t actually need to be understood by anyone except those you wish to be understood by. Everybody else is irrelevant. Being legible and grasped is overrated. People believing they get you when they don’t is just proof you’re able to protect yourself from the unworthy.
In any dynamic, including friendships, respect is a byproduct of observed behavior rather than verbal assertions. People instinctively calibrate their treatment of you based on what you allow, what you ignore, and what you choose to enforce. These reactions, or lack thereof, form the fundamental blueprint that dictates how others will navigate their relationship with you moving forward.
You know what to do. You've known for months. Maybe years. The information isn't the problem. The problem is every time you try to execute, something invisible pushes back. That's not laziness. That's your belief ceiling. And it was built before you were old enough to question it
Sometimes the only way to improve is to hate yourself more. You don't try hard enough because you're too comfortable with how much you suck. But if you hated yourself enough, you'd actually do something about it. An alchemist is just a masochist who turns pain into force of will.
