Yesterday, we hosted our 4th Annual AI Festival at Lincoln Center in NYC, our biggest and most ambitious festival yet.
A sold out audience had the opportunity to hear Ron Howard discuss the role of technology in filmmaking before watching the 10 finalist films. The films were just extraordinary. This year’s selections raised the bar yet again.
A demonstration of what’s possible when powerful new tools are placed in the hands of great artists.
Thank you to our partners: Lionsgate, Tribeca Festival, The Gotham, Monks, Adobe, Roku, and NVIDIA.
And congratulations to all of the creative minds who shared their work with us. The future of media, entertainment and art is being written right now.
Today, we’re deepening our partnership with Lionsgate with a slate of new initiatives, including a joint development program focused on creating original IP together. Learn more at the link below.
This May, Runway added more ARR than in all of 2025 combined.
I spent the past few days visiting some of our largest customers in Europe. Enterprises across the region are rebuilding their workflows around generative video.
The BBC used our real-time models to bring live AI avatars to broadcast TV. Salomon built their latest global campaign on Runway. The bottleneck is increasingly moving from production to direction.
We started Runway when visual generative models were in their infancy, and it still feels so early.
I'm hiring our first Staff Product Analytics Engineer at Runway and: it is a cheat code role for your career.
You will be famous internally within a week, which depending on your personality is a huge pro or big con.
You will cement your expertise in building ai-first data tools atop a scaled series-E amount of data. You'll work alongside 180 other brilliant creative hooligans, whose expense reimbursements recently included confetti cannons, a robotic arm, and punk rocker wigs.
We're officially sold out for Thursday's screening in New York at Lincoln Center. Tickets are still available for next week in LA, don't miss it. https://t.co/UHmUkkkJL1
Accelerating momentum at Runway: just in the past 6 weeks, we saw 50% growth in token consumption, 140% growth in power users, and an inflection point in enterprise NDR to 300% as Runway becomes more embedded in daily workflows

Today we’re announcing London as Runway’s European HQ, and doubling down on our investment in the UK AI ecosystem.
In under two years, our London team has become central to our research, including foundational work on GWM-1, our latest general world model. The caliber of talent and industry presence here makes it an ideal environment for the next chapter of Runway’s growth and for shaping the next generation of AI with world simulation.
I’ll be in London for the week; DM me if you want to meet up!

Introducing Project Luxo: a new initiative exploring how AI-generated video has crossed the uncanny valley.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve shared a series of short films with Hollywood executives, producers, directors, writers, actors and reporters. The response has been unanimous: the technology is finally good enough to disappear behind the story.
One of those films is The Rogue — a fully AI-generated, ten-minute film that spent over a decade unproduced in the traditional system: too expensive, too difficult, too risky. Created with Runway in under a month by a single person.

For AI avatars that feel engaged while your users are speaking, with eye contact, movements, and expressions generated live from a single reference image, check out @runwayml Characters.
Add one to a LiveKit voice agent with three lines of code.
