💥NEW: Stephen A. Smith: “I would give anything to be able to say something definitively in Karmelo Anthony’s defense. If there was a shred of innocence to the incident itself, I would say so. I don’t want to see another black young man going to jail.”
“But I don’t give a d*mn about what your race or ethnicity is. Just because you’re white and young doesn’t mean you deserve to be m*rdered. And just because you’re black and young … doesn’t give you a license to m*rder someone.”
“That’s what happened.”
Congratulations to the Rebels. Made plays and responded at every turn. Considering all that has transpired I continue to be impressed by how these young men have performed.
Crazy but it seems Lane was holding you back. Go win this thing!
Kiffin can be anything he wants to be right now — happy for a new opportunity, sad about leaving, anxious about new steps or even pumped about becoming the villain of college football. The one thing Kiffin can’t be? The victim.
That and more thoughts here: https://t.co/d7RWjiLBky
Paying kids to “opt out” and taking the offensive staff …. So that Ole Miss can’t participate in the CFP.
Everything the man said or did was fake. When your desperate - like OM was 6 years ago , like LSU is now - you try to justify him in the name of Wins.
I won't pretend that it's an easy decision for Lane Kiffin. When he says he's struggled with it, I believe him. The part of the process driving me up the wall is the amount of people pretending that Kiffin is a victim in this situation. He's currently suffering the consequences of his own actions, nobody else's. Every year coaches are presented with opportunities to leave or stay. Nobody else has dragged it out this way. Nobody else has considered leaving his team in the middle of a playoff run. It's a unique situation, not a fundamental flaw in the sport.
No matter how coveted the LSU or Florida jobs may be, does Lane Kiffin want to be forever known as the coach who quit on his playoff-bound team?

Paul Bissonnette did not agree with the would-be series-winning goal being called off.
"So I don't know if that ref's got the DraftKings sportsbook going right now. But that was kind of a BS call."
