Today is the last day of the “free” Fable 5 tokens for paid Claude accounts.
After today, it switches to paid usage, and it is not cheap.
So the question is:
What should you do with your leftover tokens?
My answer would be this:
Create a Harness, or better still, create a Foundry.
Something that helps your future coding work become more structured, reusable, testable, and cheaper to run.
The goal is not just to burn through tokens today.
The goal is to use them to reduce how many tokens you need tomorrow.
More code.
More apps.
More businesses.
Less wasted AI spend.
Tick tick. You do not have long 😁
Monday AI use example:
Supplier certificates expire quietly.
AI can read supplier docs, extract expiry dates, check them against compliance rules, build a renewal calendar, and draft chaser emails.
Humans still approve the emails and check the source document.
Prediction.
Fable 5 moving to API pricing won't be the exception.
It will be the blueprint.
The companies that own their own local #AI will avoid paying for every prompt forever.
People are obsessing over which #AI model is best.
They're asking the wrong question.
The real question is:
"What will it cost when subsidies disappear?"
Fable 5 is another reminder that AI is heading towards usage based pricing.
If your business relies on AI, start calc'ing
The AI subscription bubble is bursting.
Fable 5 moves to API pricing on July 7.
The days of paying £20 a month for "unlimited" AI are numbered.
Most AI companies aren't making money. At some point, investors will expect profits.
When that happens, every token becomes billable
The biggest change in #AI isn't the models.
It's the pricing.
Unlimited subscriptions were never guaranteed to last.
Businesses should start planning for a future where every token has a cost, unless you're running models locally.
Fable 5 gets API pricing from July 7.
Today it's one model.
Tomorrow it could be every major AI provider.
Track your token costs now, because usage based billing is becoming the new normal.

Fable 5 moves to API pricing on July 7.
The era of heavily subsidised AI subscriptions may be ending.
Expect more providers to charge for every token you use as profitability becomes the priority.
Local #AI is looking more attractive every month.

How do we actually put together each week’s https://t.co/qMUzAJxzyJ News round-up?
It’s not magic. It’s a repeatable 4-step routine that any local business, creator or studio can copy.
Here’s exactly how we do it — step by step 👇
That’s it. No secret prompts. No heavy CMS. Just a clean loop:
Listen → Verify → Organise → Publish.
You can run this with a spreadsheet and 30 mins a week.
