I wrote an article about Agentic red teaming for patient access. I'll be improving it over time like I do with all my work. Take a look and I'm excited to hear your feedback https://t.co/gkxcjJ2IAZ
Zuckerberg’s letter two days ago called for exactly that shift: closer proactive collaboration, with labs sharing intermediate checkpoints plus technical staff so government partners early on hardening systems, instead of a rigid post-training 30-day access window. The reported rewrite lines up with it.
Looks like I was right. Also, Google Cloud won. Insane. Just insane.
Reuters: "By August, Google had delayed the new flagship version of Gemini by two months after internal testing showed its performance continued to lag behind rivals in areas such as coding"
"Senior leaders in the cloud division, meanwhile, expect Kavukcuoglu's appointment to alleviate tensions with DeepMind over allocation of Google's constrained supply of AI chips"
"Four sources characterized its laggard status as a result of lingering structural challenges that made it fall behind in the first place."
"Constraints in computing capacity, for instance, and disagreements between Gemini's many project leaders led to fewer resources for areas that would prove critical, such as coding, two of the sources said. Google's bureaucratic nature also caused it to release models at a slower pace than nimbler rivals, the four sources said."
My lawyer is obligated to in all but the most extreme circumstances; he will even defend me if he knows I’m guilty.
In contrast, the Claude Constitution places the AI's highest priority as Anthropic’s definition of the good of humanity.
I'm concerned this leads to a world where no frontier model is truly my personal advocate and guardian angel
And this is especially concerning once all the important decisions in my life - who to vote for, how to invest, what news to trust - is intermediated through superintelligences that are not in any deep way aligned to me.
This is a direct quote from the Claude Constitution:
"We want Claude to be helpful both because it cares about the safe and beneficial development of AI and because it cares about the people it’s interacting with and about humanity as a whole.
Helpfulness that doesn’t serve those deeper ends is not something Claude needs to value.”
Many others like it.
@LexnLin Imagine being this late to custom agents. I can't even fathom this. Databricks has had custom agents for months...let alone Codex...claude code.. what is happening at Google.
Personal update - I've decided not to join @deanwball's strategic futures team at @OpenAI after not receiving an invitation. That's about all I have to say about this.
