Please stop doing this @SkyNews.
The guidance is just guidance. The law hasn't changed. Single sex facilities should always have been single sex. The clue is in the name.
The only slight change was last yr when the Sup Ct cleared up some confusion about the effect of a GRC.
JK Rowling and Ricky Gervaise.
Both are mega-millionaire celebrities, both give most of their money away, both refuse to believe that people can change sex and are very vocal about it.
Only one of them gets inundated with thousands of death/rape threats and has had to employ tight security as a result.
Gosh, I wonder what the difference is? It's a mystery...
In the past, @jk_rowling has used her platform to amplify the voices and struggles of Afghan women.
She is a strong supporter of women’s rights, and we are grateful for her solidarity and support.
Sometimes we wonder if even those who have spoken out feel tired when as they see no change for 5 years💔
But Afghan women and girls are still waiting, still hoping, and their voices must continue to be heard and continue for asking about their own rights of education, work and freedom of movement .
Please everyone use your platform and share Afghan women situation and hope for action 🍃🙏
A reminder that these people want to kill women like me simply because I'm a feminist, and because I want to preserve legal single sex spaces for women, free from biological men with male genitals.
A reminder that most Labour MPs would rather isolate and condemn women like me than support us.
A reminder that the *Women* and Equalities Select Committee has never, and will never hold an inquiry on the specific and open calls by men in balaclavas to kill women like me, a member of that committee.
A reminder that, while I am not allowed to walk to work alone, most Labour MPs think that the 'rights' of a few huge angry men who wish to occupy our spaces, and yell "punch a terf" outside my workplace, are more important than women like me.
A reminder that the Labour Party investigated and suspended women like me for liking tweets and championed the mediocre men who actively tried to have us barred.
A reminder that in 2026, this is still very much a world in which a few men are more important to most politicians than all women.
@xoxoBASHBACK@AmnestyUK "Genocide" = being occasionally called by the name and sex on your birth certificate, staying out of the ladies' loos and not being allowed to sterilise yourself till adulthood. Oh NO, Trevor: sounds terrible.
This is MMA fighter Sean McInnes. When Anne Marie Boyle asked him to leave her alone, he punched her in the face so hard that he broke her cheekbone and her eye socket, knocked her unconscious, and left her with a life-altering brain injury.
He was given less than two years behind bars.
It would be a real shame if this post was widely circulated and impacted his career in a negative way.
Imagine a group of white people saying that they know what it’s like to “feel black,” and that because of this feeling, and their enjoyment of stereotypically “black behavior,” they are now not just black themselves, but the most marginalized and vulnerable type of black person.
Imagine them insisting that they should be the main focus of all activism meant to help black people. Imagine them having taxpayer-funded operations to darken their skin and mimic stereotypically black features.
Imagine them walking around in blackface, and saying it’s better than being born black.
Imagine them being referred to as black in the press and supported by celebrities, with laws passed to make white people who identify as black a protected class.
Imagine these people demanding membership in black organizations, and demanding they be given awards created specifically to honor black achievement.
Then imagine them getting their way.
Now imagine mobs of them showing up to black events that don’t include them to drown out any speakers with noise, and coming up with slurs for any black person who doesn’t accept that white people are black if they say they are.
Imagine them calling for the rape, torture, and mass murder of any black person who disagrees with them. Imagine them getting black people doxxed, harassed, assaulted, fired from their jobs, and investigated by the police for saying that you have to be born black to be black.
Now imagine the government supporting their demands.
That’s exactly the position that women are in right now, with a few extras, like being locked in cells with dangerous men, the sexual predation of lesbians via coercion, and the increased risk of sexual assault in formerly female-only spaces.
Our greatest oppressors are now claiming not only the right to oppress us in whole new ways, but the right to erase our identities as women and rewrite the meaning of womanhood in ways that not just include, but prioritize them.
If you wouldn’t support this kind of behavior towards black people, you have no business supporting this kind of behavior towards women.
@LGBAllies_Cymru@amnesty They forgot to omit 'women'. The so called rights they ascribe to trans people directly contradict the rights of women to single sex spaces and sports.
If, as women are always told, there is NO CONFLICT between 'trans rights' and women's rights then Amnesty are wrong to characterise 'gender critical' women's rights groups as 'anti-rights'.
If there IS a conflict between 'trans rights' and women's rights then Amnesty has taken the side of 'trans rights' and is therefore anti-women's rights.
This would make Amnesty itself 'anti-rights'.
@StottieCakes@SJP74@sharrond62 It's funny that his explanation for Queer is that it is an umbrella term....if it was, it wouldn't be phrased as part of the overall acronym, but rather instead of it...but then they couldn't claim LGB which is the only legitimate part of it... He's just another aggressive TRA...

There's concern from some about why the police would come to my home to tell me I have a son. Clearly it must have been because I'd done something terrible. No actually, it's because the other adults I had entrusted her safe keeping to - the school and her dad - had completely failed in that duty.
About a month before the school counsellor had asked me to consider giving us both a bit of space by letting her stay with her dad exclusively for a couple of weeks. I agreed - I was ready to try (pretty much) anything - I did not want my girl to be unhappy, I hoped in the space she'd find understanding that we could disagree but still love.
A month later she didn't turn up at school - neither her dad or the school let me know. The police had been out looking for her all day. They didn't tell me either.
At about 6 that night they came to ask if she was with me. This was the first I knew that there was a problem. I asked if they'd been shown a picture of my daughter - they said "we've had a description of your son". Remember, she was an unmedicalised teenager, she did (and does not) look like any kind of man.
If you can't see the inherent problems with the police looking for a boy, when it's a girl in danger, well I hope you never have to experience anything similar.
The conversion practices Bill will land people like me, and professionals who put the safety of children before their career prospects, in the courts and maybe in jail.
If that bothers you - tell your MP, and join @alliancelgb in the coming months as we campaign to protect the lives of lesbian, gay and bisexual people, and their families.

Yes. It is like deciding to do a trial of lobotomies on children before checking what had happened to children previously lobotomized because the child lobotomy clinics refuse to share the data. It. Is. Not. Ethical.
@GavGavan@Lullah_Bell@sharrond62 Lucky us to be biologically sexed instead of fancifully gendered then Gav, mate. Think you just argued your own erasure?
I am begging critics of the puberty blocker trial to stop getting lost in the weeds arguing about research ethics, Gillick competence, informed consent, fertility preservation and the like. The NHS’s refusal to complete the Data Linkage Study (DLS) before proceeding with a new trial is the ONLY argument worth making on this issue. Everything else is a distraction.
The DLS would find out what has happened to all the children who have already taken puberty blockers. There is NO justification for proceeding with a puberty blocker trial before the DLS is complete. The entire programme of future research in this area should be informed by its results. The fact that the NHS is getting ready to run a live experiment on vulnerable children before it has even established the fate of those it has already experimented on is utterly damning.
The deeply disappointing Dr Cass should be widely derided for her ridiculous comments on ‘harm reduction’. The DLS IS harm reduction. Critics of the trial must stop fighting on their opponents turf by quibbling over technical details. We need to relentlessly force the DLS onto the agenda and expose the shameful hypocrisy of the NHS. DO THE DLS.
