@PiotrRetardo@AndrewLawton@PierrePoilievre Not if stupid Liberal programs and the mammoth civil service were brought under control. Cheering for high taxes, waste, and ineffective government is bizarre, but I guess "educated" Canadians see some benefit in that choice.
@AlexandreLand15@sarobertson_ Let's just ignore the decades of prosperity we've enjoyed thanks to Mulroney. Our current vulnerability is the product of ten+ years of Liberal 'progressive' economic mismanagement.
@JonathanWNV We have the resources and know-how, but lack a rational, competent, effective federal government. Just get out of the way. The sooner, the better.
@globeandmail Why are comments closed on this story @globeandmail? Surely, in a country that espouses support for free speech, a national newspaper should not close comments because someone might be uncomfortable or offended. Another reason Canadians have lost faith in legacy media.
@ScottLuft@anasalhajji To be honest, I remain puzzled as to why the anti-oil Trudeau Liberals took it on other than as a domestic strategic move to appease the west. From a geopolitical standpoint, I don't think they ever thought or acted strategically.
@johnwtomkinson@BrackishBetty Oof. Imagine being that terrified of a piece of transportation infrastructure. Visions of an apocalypse. Nihilistic world view. It makes a person so sour. Why is this country so full of such dreary, miserable, misinformed people?
@PrairiePersp@Anthony__Koch@JefferyPetts We fund interest on the existing debt with more debt. If the government rolled back OAS they'd see it as a windfall and find some stupid thing to squander the imagined savings on. Fiscal discipline from this government is a forlorn wish at best.
