My father is 77 years old and has stage 4 prostate cancer. He decided to learn how to ice skate a few years ago, and just did this performance with his teacher.

I was mesmerized by the performance of Ting Cui (@Ting_a_ding) to "This Bitter Earth/On the Nature of Daylight" by Max Richter/vocal by Dinah Washington, choreographed by @ColinJMcManus! Nice opening 2A (her triples will be back with time) & I'm SO glad she's competing again.π
@edges_of_glory Just seemed like the right fit! I think Space Oddity already plays to his strengths as a skater, and Bowie gave us the perfect platform to expand on Ryanβs repertoire. Even worked with @skatingmusicguy to do a custom remix of Letβs Dance ππ»
2019 U.S. jr champ #RyanDunk was inspired to skate to Space Oddity, Fame, and Let's Dance by his choreographer @ColinJMcManus & his parents, who are big David Bowie fans: "I didn't think I could pull it off!" Ryan learned to "just go out there and go for it." #ToyotaUSChamps21

Too many memories to share, too many friends to name, and too many days spent at this wonderful place to count. The address may change, but the history will remain. Thank you, SCOB #Farewell1240
And so the final day has come. Today marks the day in which figure skaters will grace the ice at the beloved 1240 Soldiers Field Road, for the final time. Tonight the compressors will be turned off, the ice will melt, but the memories will last forever. #farewell1240
In the return of our coaching series, translating the lessons of a skater's life to the coach's work -- and choreography process. https://t.co/uSXoVu4ud9
