On yesterday’s space with @admcrlsn, @ghostrunnerblog queried whether the racist slur campaign against Darializa was coming directly from Espaillat’s team. We now have proof that it is. https://t.co/TGwKD5Nukp
@ZacharyDonnini If that (assumed klaxon for DSA etc.) were true, Dan Goldman would have a lot to look forward to on Tuesday night. But that's obviously not the case. I think you're right.
For those of you who don’t know, he grew up in extreme poverty, used to practice with rocks, then at 17 left his nomadic family and ventured to Tehran alone (without his father’s support), was homeless camping outside one of the soccer team camps until someone gave him a chance.
What a man.
@ideologicalized@MichaelLangeNYC Not sure why you're getting so upset about this. The younger the electorate (aka the more like the Mamdani electorate) the more likely the DSA slate wins. It's not a value judgment. It is what it is. You asked the question and you got the correct answer. It's all good. Chill out.
Iran look so tired, which is what you'd expect of an old team who haven't played any club football in months.
Anyone talking or writing about this match should probably mention why they haven't had a league to play their club football in and are therefor lacking match fitness.
That's a great result for Iran against Belgium.
Given the deliberate sabotage by the USA of all reasonable logistic arrangements for the Iranian team, they have been magnificent.
What a nation!
Man, the Iranian team looked so exhausted before the match even started. It's disgraceful the way these sportsmen are being treated having to travel from Mexico right before each game and shame on FIFA for allowing their own regulations to be violated
Stunning showing by Iran under such despicable treatment. Or as the guy at Mulberry Pizza just said after we watched the final minutes of the draw against Belgium: “Bullshit. It’s bullshit.”
