NEW: NY12 – the wealthiest, most educated district in America – is ready to choose its next congressman.
Nine candidates. One seat.
West Side vs. East Side.
A Kennedy heir, a Never-Trumper, and two Albany lawmakers walk into a forum...

.@AlexBores is expected to win the endorsement from a key group of the @NYWFP tonight. @CuffhAction will endorse Bores in his race to represent NY-12.
The @NYWFP has not made an endorsement in the race yet, but @JCColtin reported the party is set on *not* backing @JBKSchlossberg
Some genuinely impressive xs-and-os ball knowledge from @TweetBenMax in here.
Come for the Zohran stuff, but do stay for the sharp analysis of the scheme challenges that OG Anunoby’s driving ability might raise for the Spurs defense.
Chi is a vertical video god so this is going to reach tens of thousands of undecided voters.
But I wonder how much the “We don’t agree on everything” weakens the endorsement, especially for undecideds that don’t care about AI that much.
I’m endorsing @AlexBores for Congress because artificial intelligence could change everything and we need a leader in Congress who understands it and has a plan to regulate it. AI oligarchs are spending $10 million to defeat his campaign. We don’t agree on everything, but I know what side of that fight I’m on.
@maevehove Never enough. I wanted ten minutes of questions about their favorite linewaiters' gazette feature, and whether avocados should be cross-subsidized more aggressively.
Seconded! @AlexBores@MicahLasher
To my knowledge, Eli’s the first person to do an entire podcast dedicated to one House race.
He has ended all 19 episodes asking his guests what questions he should ask you both when you’re on.
Would be a shame for those all to go to waste.
Two new District Twelve episodes out today, with two of my very favorite NYC politics nerds: @MichaelLangeNYC and @admcrlsn.
I spoke with Michael about the electoral math, which neighborhoods to watch, plus some bonus NY-7 and NY-13 content

Political podcasting is too often boring, but Eli is a natural talent. This was great conversation that I can't recommend enough.
Come for NY-12, but stay for stray thoughts on NY-7 and NY-13 (including my prediction).
Also, @AlexBores and @MicahLasher — please come on Eli's podcast! He's been trying to reach you both for months.
I know there's only 3 weeks left, but you can spare 30 minutes. Let's set something up.
A little public shaming never hurt anyone!
Two for the price of one!
Had a lot of fun talking with Eli — one of the smartest NYC political analysts out there & a must-follow — about the ever-fascinating Democratic primary in NY-12.

@MichaelLangeNYC’s episode: https://t.co/EuX2p5IXlc
I spoke with Adam about his take on the strategy each campaign is taking, and what narratives and issues he thinks will matter most in the last three weeks

NY-12 Democrats who ranked Lander #1 and didn't end up voting for Mamdani in the final RCV round.
This is not a huge chunk of the electorate (there were about ~500 total votes per precinct on average), but it's helpful for considering what Lasher's "firewall" might look like.
Might be disappointing for @hasanthehun but my sense is that most pro-Bores progressives don’t mind this kind of thing.
A lot of them believe (rightly or wrongly) that Israel is just not a huge priority for Bores one way or the other.
Bores speaking now about Leading the Future:
“They’re so scared of me, they’ve committed $10 million to defeat me in this campaign… they’re scared of me because I win.”
UFT President Michael Mulgrew:
“You look at the other people in this race, they’re quiet on these issues. And that’s why it’s so important to elect Alex”
(Tacit acknowledgment of the tense relationship between UFT and Lasher dating back to the Bloomberg era)
