Scott Stringer

Father. Husband. New Yorker. Democrat. Reformer. Running for mayor to bring vision, experience + competence to NYC.

[Scott Stringer @scottmstringer]

Tough is putting New Yorkers first.

[Scott Stringer @scottmstringer]

You did great

[Aaron Ghitelman @Ghitelman]

Made my in-studio NY1 debut this weekend to talk about voter registration, early voting, and the NYC Voter Guide

Many are saying this is the worst TV performance from a political press secretary they have seen all month..

[Scott Stringer @scottmstringer]

Not

[The Empire Lakes @eschensam]

@bengraber @jacobkornbluh @scottmstringer Quick, tell me, NYC has bonds with how many other countries?

[Scott Stringer @scottmstringer]

Oy. I still have to deal with crazy shit! But it’s all good.

[Megan Martin MD, MPH @Megmd514]

We watched you literally sell out the entire UWS to the woke mob during Covid for them to turn on you. It’s truly awful to watch this 180 and expect no one to remember. You could have represented the moderate wing but that ship has long sailed. We have already seen that you will bend to the whims of the far left.

[Scott Stringer @scottmstringer]

Enough already.

[Megan Martin MD, MPH @Megmd514]

@AFineBlogger @RezaC1 Scott Stringer is the picture when you look up desperate in the dictionary

[Scott Stringer @scottmstringer]

Your bigger pest

[KareBearScare @KareBearScare]

@scottmstringer Hey you sex pest loser, take up your disgusting, cynical claim with Mark Levine.

[Jacob N. Kornbluh @jacobkornbluh]

🚨Former City Comptroller @scottmstringer blasts Levine's decision on Israel Bonds:

”This is a major victory for BDS, and it’s going to have long-term ramifications,” Stringer told me. “This indecision will, unfortunately, spark more BDS calls that could cause further antisemitism.” https://t.co/HRpuLomwzf

[Scott Stringer @scottmstringer]

As usual bot… u have no clue.

[KareBearScare @KareBearScare]

@jacobkornbluh @scottmstringer We don’t buy the bonds of, say, Indonesia; is that Islamophobic? Baseless antisemitism accusations like this don’t work anymore.

[Scott Stringer @scottmstringer]

Of course.

[Julia Rothwax @colwax58]

@scottmstringer Are Israel Bongs good investments (now) or not? Pls advise

[Scott Stringer @scottmstringer]

Look how that turned out.

[Amit Singh Bagga / अमित / ਅਮਿਤ @amitsinghbagga]

.@drew_warshaw made both the moral and fiduciary cases for this during the comptroller primary race earlier this year.

Frank Mauro was a public servant at heart.  From his decorated service in the Air Force to his long career in the NYS Assembly and the @NYFiscalPolicy Institute, Frank worked to improve the lives of his fellow NYers.  My sympathies to his family.

House Dem leader Hakeem Jeffries Oct. 7 statement:

“Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists intent on destroying Israel launched an unthinkable massacre, murdering, kidnapping and sexually assaulting innocent Israeli civilians, as well as American citizens.”

Jeffries mentions Palestinian deaths and Gaza destruction in third graph.

[Robert Zimmerman @ZimmermanRob]

We must never forget October 7th.

Three years have passed since the most horrific attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. The passage of time cannot lessen the horror of that day nor the pain carried by those who survived it and those who lost loved ones.

We must also recommit to fighting the rising scourge of antisemitism in all its forms, wherever and whenever we see it. We pray for a just and lasting peace.

Am Yisrael Chai. 🙏 🇮🇱

[Scott Stringer @scottmstringer]

This could be the day the Mandami mayoralty imploded. This is something.

[Chris Sommerfeldt @C_Sommerfeldt]

One guy here is holding a Hezbollah flag along with pictures of slain leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah.

[Scott Stringer @scottmstringer]

Just psycho.

[José @josecanyousee]

they are protesting mamdani right now.

“zohran pick a side justice or genocide”

[Ammi Hirsch @AmmiHirsch]

As I told @nytimes’ @liamstack, @NYCMayor’s statement on the 3rd anniversary of #October7 is morally perverse — like sticking a knife into the pain of the #Jewish community. It is hard to describe how offensive this is:

[Ryder Kessler @ryderkessler]

I say this as a fan of the mayor: Can’t we have *one day* to simply mourn the greatest loss of Jewish life since the Holocaust? Depressing that this tweet doesn’t end after the first paragraph.

[Daniel Goldman @danielsgoldman]

Over the past week, I have been rewatching gut-wrenching videos taken by Hamas terrorists of their own massacre of Israeli families, grandparents and children three years ago today, reading about new accounts of hostages in brutal captivity, and thinking back to my own experience taking my young children back and forth to a bomb shelter as rockets rained down from Gaza. I think often about how the Iron Dome may very well have saved my family’s lives that day, along with thousands of other innocent civilians in Israel.

Since 2007 when Israel withdrew from Gaza and turned control over to Hamas, neither Israel nor Gazan civilians have been in charge. Instead, it has been governed by a globally-designated terrorist group whose stated mission and sole focus is to wipe out Israel, which they tried to do three years ago and then carried on for years by holding hundreds of Israeli hostages in brutal conditions in their terror tunnel network. That terrorist group remains armed and dangerous in Gaza today, still fully committed to wiping out Israel, the world’s only safe haven for Jews and the only democracy in the region.

If you are someone — like me — who wants peace in the region and self-determination for all people there, then Hamas represents a complete and total obstacle to that goal. As we remember the devastation inflicted by them on this day three years ago, we must also recognize that Iranian-backed terrorist groups such as Hamas remain an existential threat not only to peace in the region but also to democracy around the world.

Today is a day of mourning and remembrance of all those innocent lives lost, those who were wounded both physically and mentally, the hostages who survived through unspeakable conditions, and a country shaken to its core by the genocidal attack three years ago. Tomorrow, I will continue working towards a path to peace, security and self-determination for Israelis and Palestinians alike.

Am Yisrael Chai.

[Micah Lasher @MicahLasher]

This was Kfar Aza as I witnessed it, twelve days after the pogroms of October 7, 2023, the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust.

Not a day has gone by in the last three years that I have not thought about the lives lost to Hamas’s murderous rampage, the horrors faced by their hostages, the terror that the attacks struck into the heart of Israel, and the rise in antisemitism that Jews worldwide have experienced.

And in that time, I have tried to mark the tragedy by mourning with my community on each anniversary of 10/7, as I will do today; by giving voice, as best as I can, to the concerns and aspirations of the Jewish community; and by taking action to combat antisemitic violence and hate in all of its many forms.

As I look back on this photograph, I am struck by the rays of sunlight breaking through the trees in the distance. It is hard, so much of the time, to see light through the darkness. We must keep trying. I will keep trying.

I pray for comfort for the bereaved and for a future of safety and peace for all.
