Friends, neighbors, and West Side leaders are coming together for this campaign. Everyday we meet people at subways, on the street, and...even at the medians! Check out our new ad “medians” here ⬇️
Honored to have the support of @UFT, @NYHTC, @32BJSEIU, and @ATUComm.
As a public school parent, tenant, rabbi, and working mom, I know how hard families are working to make ends meet while costs continue to rise.
In Albany, I'll fight to protect the right to unionize, strengthen worker protections, and ensure working people have a voice. I'll always stand with workers and their families.
Early voting for the June primary begins this Saturday, June 13 and goes through Sunday, June 21.
As a busy parent, I know how quickly schedules can fill up. If you're planning to participate in the election, now is a good time to check your polling location and review the early voting schedule.

Thank you for believing in this campaign and this community. Let’s bring it home.
Well it's official. Maine democrats have chosen a N*azi sympathing, woman abusing man to be their nominee for senate. These are not values that the democratic party stands for.
#ProgressivesForIsrael
I’m humbled and proud to officially be your Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate to take on Susan Collins and the billionaire class she represents. Together, we will win this seat back for working Mainers
Thank you, Maine.
Antisemitic hate crimes in New York City jumped last month. There were 41 confirmed antisemitic hate crimes in May, a 46% increase over the average for the previous three months, according to NYPD data
While the media fixates on Adam Hamawy’s win in NJ-12 (a safe blue seat where the progressive, sharp Israel critic prevailed in a crowded field), several anti-Israel challengers took losses or underperformed in yesterday’s primaries.
Here are some notable ones:
- Mussab Ali (NJ-8): Left challenger lost decisively to incumbent Rep. Rob Menendez (69%-31%).
- Brian Varela (NJ-7): Anti-Israel Latino candidate backed by CAIR/A New Policy defeated by moderate Rebecca Bennett.
- Terri Reese (NJ-2): Grassroots progressive finished last (~10%).
- Randy Villegas (CA-22) & Ammar Campa-Najjar (CA-48): High-profile critics underperformed against pro-Israel/moderate Democrats amid heavy AIPAC/DMFI spending.
While Hamawy’s victory gives progressives something to point to, the day showed limits for strongly anti-Israel insurgents in contested or swing-leaning terrain. Voters often prioritize electability and local issues over maximalist foreign policy stances.
Progressivism is being hijacked
by the pro-Palestinian movement and this is the perfect example. Sunrise movement used to be about fighting for climate justice and now there is not a word about that in their endorsements.
#ProgressivesForIsrael
We're electing a bold team in Congress that is unapologetically pro-Palestine, pro-working people, proudly anti-billionaire, and unafraid to challenge the establishment.
And we're just getting started.
It was great to see so many Democratic elected officials at the Israeli Day Parade yesterday including Assemblyman (and NY-12 Congressional candidate) @MicahLasher and White Plains Mayor @JustinCBrasch!

The two rulings from federal judges blocking Trump's slush fund and ordering his name to be removed from the Kennedy Center are wins for Democracy and strengthens the principle that no one, not even the President of the United States should be above the law!

Tonight members of the Park Slope Food co-op will vote on whether or not to ban Israeli products from their store. This goes in direct contradiction to their mission to be "committed to diversity and equality. We oppose discrimination in any form. We strive to make the Coop welcoming and accessible to all and to respect the opinions, needs and concerns of every member...We welcome all who respect these values."
Aligning with the BDS movement which does not recognize Israel as a Jewish state or even support a two-state solution is in direct contradiction to these values. The BDS movement is simply anti-Israel not pro peace.
As progressives we hope the motion to boycott Israeli products is voted down!

Brooklyn Co-op Divided Over Push to Boycott Israeli Products
“Jewish people should not have to choose between local and organic food and their safety and their voice,” Kenneth L. Marcus, the chief executive of the Brandeis Center, said in the statement. “Protective measures for this upcoming vote are not a procedural nicety. They are the minimum condition for a legitimate vote and a basic obligation to the safety and dignity of every Jewish member.”

We thank Governor Hockul and the entire state legislature for passing a 50ft buffer bill around houses of worship. Protecting the rights of all to pray without harassment is a progressive cause!

LATEST: New York lawmakers approve 50-foot buffer around houses of worship and community centers in challenge to Mamdani.
Assemblyman @SEichenstein said the state intervention became “critically urgent” following Mamdani’s veto of school safety bill.

I’m deeply honored to have the endorsement of Councilmember @galeabrewer.
For decades, Gale has led with compassion, integrity, and an extraordinary commitment to showing up for this community. She’s the kind of public servant I’ve long admired — and the kind of leader I aspire to be.
The American Jewish Congress Mourns the Passing of Dr. Clarence B. Jones
Dr. Jones occupied a singular place in American history. As personal counsel to Dr. King and a trusted member of his inner circle, he helped draft some of the most consequential words ever spoken in the cause of American freedom, including portions of the "I Have a Dream" speech delivered at the 1963 March on Washington.
In 2006, the American Jewish Congress was proud to honor Dr. Jones, recognizing his lifelong commitment to justice, human dignity, and moral courage.
For our community, Dr. Jones held a particular significance. Among the speakers at the 1963 March on Washington was Rabbi Joachim Prinz, then-president of the American Jewish Congress and a refugee from Nazi Germany, who warned the nation that the most shameful problem of his time was not bigotry alone, but silence in the face of it. Dr. Jones never forgot those words. He called Rabbi Prinz's address the most important speech of that day other than Dr. King's own, recalling that as the rabbi spoke, "you could hear a pin drop." He carried that warning with him for the rest of his life.
Dr. Jones understood the deepest truth of the civil rights movement: that progress was won not by one community alone, but by Americans of different faiths, races, and backgrounds who chose to stand together. The bond between the Black and Jewish communities, forged in shared struggle, was one he honored throughout his life. He leaves a legacy measured not only in the historic words he helped shape, but in the example he set: that conviction and coalition belong together, and that silence is never an option in the face of injustice.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Dr. Jones's family and all who knew and loved him. May his memory be a blessing, and may the work to which he devoted his life carry forward in his name.

The statement from a board of peace representative that "we are not asking Hamas to disappear as a political movement" is a complete betrayal of their duty to create a peaceful and rebuilt Gaza. Hamas continues to refuse to disarm and it's founding charter calls for the death of Jews.

This is very concerning. We hope that @AlexBores will clarify whether he intends to accept the nomination of Our Revolution and if so how can he reassure Pro-Israel voters that he will continue to support Israel despite pressure from the far left.

BREAKING @jewishinsider via @WillBredderman: "A left-wing group aligned with Sen. Bernie Sanders and fiercely critical of Israel has backed Assemblymember Alex Bores in the race to succeed Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) in a heavily Jewish Manhattan district"

At latest NY-12 forum:
- Jack Schlossberg supports Bernie Sanders' recent resolutions to block certain weapons sales to Israel
- Things got testy between Schlossberg and Micah Lasher. "I'm just going to watch the boys fight," Nina Schwalbe joked https://t.co/9hGOWBAF4k
For those who still question if buffer zones around Synagoes are needed look at this protest outside of Park East Synagogue last night. Even with the barrier and all of the police, the protesters almost broke though! Of course free speech must be protected but so must the safety of Jews!
