The stats are maddening: over 4,000 HMRC staff haven't been in the office at all for over 6 months. Over 1,000 haven't been in for over a YEAR.
And - as I understand the Telegraph data - these are not workers that were HIRED on remote working contracts - that is a totally separate category (and I think there are some 1,300 additional HMRC staff hired on that basis). The 4,000 figure is people who are MEANT to be coming into the office but simply aren't
In a major development, the IPCC has finally admitted its apocalyptic RCP8.5 climate scenarios are "implausible", meaning most media scare stories over the last 15 years are officially junk, says Chris Morrison. https://t.co/XJHxDdKdAY
On what conceivable planet should British taxpayers pay “an appropriate financial contribution of the UK towards reducing economic, social and territorial disparities between the regions of the EU”? Like the Chagos surrender, it’s something so mad people won’t actually believe it
Thanks to the choices we've made, we’ve seen six interest rate cuts and inflation is falling.
We have the right economic plan to build a stronger and more secure economy, cutting the cost of living, cutting national debt and creating the conditions for growth.
I know I go on a lot about the state of UK democracy but let’s take the China deal as an example.
The UK Government describes the UK–China Clean Energy Partnership as a “private document” and has not published it.
Calling it a Memorandum of Understanding means…
▪️It is not on https://t.co/KsZqLhujFB
▪️It has not been laid before Parliament
▪️It is not accessible to the public
▪️It is not automatically accessible to MPs
In a democracy citizens, through their MPs, vote based on information. Yet it appears Labour is increasingly withholding information using mechanisms to avoid scrutiny and tie the UK to deals I don’t think the majority would vote for.
That is a very odd version of democracy dont you think?
Sad day in NL, the Dutch government is expected to pass a bill introducing a 36% tax on unrealized capital gains.
This will destroy long-term strategies, kill compounding effects & trigger a wealth exodus of biblical proportions.
But they'll pass it anyway. Can't fix stupid.
‼️ Wow Meloni goes hardcore in Italy by using the Navy to block migrant boats from landing.
Proposed legislation was agreed by ministers yesterday.
She isn’t bowing to the pressure of the UN or the ECHR, she’s protecting Italy and delivering her election promise.
Here’s what happens next: Ministers will claim we need to get closer to the stagnant EU to spur more growth.
When that doesn’t work, they’ll argue it’s because we aren’t in a Customs Union.
When that doesn’t work, they’ll say it’s because we aren’t members.
So transparent.
UK economy grew by just 0.1% in final months of 2025. This is what happens when a socialist government drowns business with red tape, ramps up taxes and punishes investment. You can’t tax and regulate your way to prosperity
🧵 Thread: How AI and Stablecoins Are Rewriting Money
1️⃣
The Clarity Act changes everything.
It’s the biggest monetary overhaul in decades, a bipartisan reset of the financial guardrails that built the modern economy.
It legalizes stablecoins, separates money from credit, and opens the door for AI to move value at machine speed.
Here’s how it rewires money 👇
Neil Oliver on "Brit Card", Keir Starmer's new mandatory digital ID:
"There's going to be mass refusal, mass non-compliance... It's going to be a disaster for them, and will probably... be what brings them down."
"Anybody that submits to this—anybody that accepts a digital ID—is slapping handcuffs around their own wrists."
"It's the end of freedom. It's the end of choice. It's the worst possible decision that any free living, freedom loving person could possibly make."
"I was pessimistic about it for a while—I'm not anymore. We've got them on this. We have them surrounded. Their arguments don't stack up. None of the reasons that they've put forward for doing this make any kind of sense."
"The very idea that this is going to tackle the people arriving by boats... is absolute nonsense. It was never supposed to do that."
"The desire to bring forward the digital ID was there years ago. And it was understood... that the British people would not accept it. So problems had to be fomented to make people desperate to accept this as a solution."
"Hence the opening up of the borders, and the mass immigration onto these shores that has stoked division, has stoked fear."
"And the hope has been that people would accept the digital ID as this solution to the problem. But it's entirely bogus."
"All people have to do is not comply and this thing falls flat on its face. And I am convinced that that is what's going to happen."

Breaking News🇬🇧: Former UK PM Liz Truss tell's @Iromg, "There's no point in replacing Angela Rayner...it's the ENTIRE UK establishment which has been captured and subsequently has to be REPLACED".
When a former PM speaks out like this, you know that the Overton Window and root cause analysis of the problem is taking hold in the UK.
A revolution of sorts is certainly not of the table at this stage.
The UK masses may not have seen enough yet, but with every traitorous act of state sponsored terrorism against us, it's only a matter of 'when' not 'if'?
Baroness Kate Hoey tells the Lords that the Republic of Ireland gets to enjoy their military neutrality because we British cover nearly all their defence and costs. .
Almost unanimous support during the debate for making Ireland pay its way. 🇮🇪
Six Home Office civil servants get paid more than the Prime Minister, the department tells me.
Erm. Why? If they were delivering, fine.
They're not, and haven't for years. Sackings, and lots of them, are required.
We need a new Home Office.
In Amsterdam, a ‘Queer for Palestine’ wanted to be part of the protest but was told:
“Get out, we don’t want you here. We are Muslims and you disgust us. You have no place in our cause.”
LGBT who support Palestine have to be the dumbest people ever!
...and my concern is the we are letting them
Trump won the popular vote.
There is a silent majority.
That silent majority assumed the norms and institutions would always hold.
But they absolutely won’t.
When normal people check out, the zealots check in...
