Jeffries: Diversity, equity and inclusion are American values. Perhaps I can explain. The motto of the United States of America is e pluribus unum. Out of many, one. That’s diversity. The 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution—one of the most influential important amendments in our country—provides equal protection under the law. That’s equity. In this country, we pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. A flag that we just presented to the new President and Vice President. And in that pledge, we promise, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. A-L-L. That’s inclusion. Not complicated. Diversity, equity and inclusion are American values. It’s about economic opportunity. It’s about merit for everyone, based on what you know, not who you know.
12/ The devil’s in the details. If you want to believe every talking point that politicians use to sell their crappy bills, will zero research, that’s your business.
But if you read the fine print like I did, you’ll see this bill is not what it claims to be.
Listen, it’s time we stop pouring money where it barely moves the needle. Let me show you the math on the map and the dollar spent.
This new report breaks down how Democrats can shift resources to places like Georgia, North Carolina, and Mississippi—states that are ready for change. We’re talking about a real path to win the Senate and the Electoral College by putting our dollars where they count. Let’s invest in our people and flip the South for good.
The logic that you go after voters you have to convince versus turning out the voters that align with you is not working. Republicans literally ignore over half the country in their policies and approach. Almost no conservative outside of Trump actually tries to win Black voters.
The work begins today if we aim to have a future. They never stopped until they took the rights of millions away, including the right to sue for racial inequity with chemical plants next to Black communities. There are white people and other groups in the south that want the same change as Black America. The investment just never comes. You can’t get votes you don’t invest seriously to turnout. Off years and election years.
I believe in a #NewBlackSouth and I’m going to keep telling you until you see it.

i’m gonna take this chance to reiterate what i’ve said before. Gay people: your family, friends, and neighbors do not give a fuck about your rights. They think it’s annoying and kind of pushy when you bring it up. They miss when it wasn’t something they had to acknowledge.
This is the chart. She spent months courting Republican endorsements, riding the 2016 Clinton strategy to certain defeat. They risked it all to build a centrist party of suburbanites and college kids and lost. It’s time to move on but I don’t think the Dems will move with us.
I thought this would hurt more than 2016 but it doesn't.
That was a shock. This is just confirmation.
We now know that 2016 wasn't a fluke or an aberration, that this is what the majority wants: whiteness, patriarchy, nationalism, hatred, nihilism.
Whether I want to spend the rest of my life in such a place is something my mind isn't prepared to consider.
Right now, I just know that I'm seeing the nation with my eyes fully open and there is no mistaking what so many people I Ioved and once respected, actually value.
As heartbreaking as that is, I now know where they stand, and I know it's nowhere I want to be.
Stock markets at record highs, low unemployment, wage growth exceeds inflation, the best handling of inflation of any G7 nation, energy independence, and I can go on and on and on...But no matter how this result lands, whether VP Harris ekes this out or not, it is amazing how unappreciated successful governance was in this election and how Americans are so willing to bring back into office the guy who caused all the destruction.
🚨 BREAKING:
Wow. This heart-rending ad, when tested, moves swing-state men 2.5 points away from Trump.

Women are dying NOW in states with extreme bans. If Republicans win, a national abortion ban is next. Don't look away. #MAGAAbortionBan
For 40 hours, a 28-year-old mother prayed for doctors to help her get home to her daughter, but Texas doctors refused to treat her, fearing they would be breaking the law.
A Trump abortion ban killed Josseli Barnica. https://t.co/Ru8GJdvnJv
Last night a Republican delegate from NJ accused me of wearing a North Korea flag on my tie and questioned my allegiance to America. This is a disgusting attack and I urge NJ Republican leaders including @BobHugin and @CurtisBashaw to condemn this xenophobia. THREAD
