@Rival386905@terpsguy Football is the moneymaker of college sports, so it should be the priority.
But I’ll play your game. Here’s Maryland basketball since joining the B1G. Solid, but not lighting the world on fire, especially recently. And last I checked, the ACC is a good basketball conference too.
@EMAWCaleb@RhodyKnights Fair enough. But after you go far enough down the list, there are a lot of programs that aren’t particularly desirable from a fanbase perspective. And beyond that, they’re just a good team every year these days.
@EMAWCaleb@RhodyKnights I think however you want to go about protecting traditions, that’s what needs to happen.
And yeah, this model doesn’t split into divisions very cleanly. You kinda need SMU + someone out west instead of NC State + UCF.
@KC_PeterGriffin Flip UVA + VT. Might want to flip Purdue and ND to add some balance. And I feel like UNLV (possibly Nevada too) belong in the Pac 12.
Otherwise this is solid.
@pradonmytake Big 12: I’d make it north and south (Oklahoma in the north and OK State in the south for balance.
Big East: Should be northeast vs the rest. Swap Memphis + USF with UConn + Rutgers.
@pradonmytake 12-team conferences allow for 5+2+2 scheduling. Play the 5 from your division annually, 2 annual opponents from the other division, and then play 2 of the remaining 4 (each of the 4 every other year).
