Some great feedback from our in-house data breach training sessions. Our team works with clients managing data breaches every day. We are happy to share our knowledge and expertise with you.
I’m looking forward to delivering this course in a few weeks time. @PrivacyPros training is the global standard for anyone working in privacy and particularly #DPOs working with #GDPR - join us!!
Another day, another worrying story about how our #PersonalData can be abused. The #tech giants need not only to respect the #GDPR, but also become more transparent on what and how they use our data; or face stark sanctions and regulatory actions. https://t.co/m1HpDHu9sW
All of us at @PembrokePrivacy and @PrivacyPros Ireland send our heartfelt condolences to @EU_EDPS and Giovanni’s family and his many, many friends and colleagues. He was a true gentleman and a scholar. Ar dheis dé do raibh a anam.
A very clear and interesting explanation of #Facebook’s strategies to mitigate risks in developing AI products at #APF19 by Arianne T. Jimenez. Transparency is Important to reduce the “creepiness factor”.
Privacy and accountability- “it’s a business issue, it’s a trust issue, it’s not a legal and compliance issue.” Truth.. @the_cipl Bojanna Bellamy at #APF19
I always love listening to the articulate and intelligent @the_cipl ‘s Bojanna Bellamy. As usual, her passion for her topic comes across clearly. she is speaking about implementing privacy accountability (yes, CIPl’s wheel makes an appearance!) #APF19
Legitimate interest as a legal basis for processing is an example of accountability in #GDPR. Controllers must conduct a Legitimate Interest Assessment;consider the rights & interests of data subjects & undertake a balancing exercise. Angela Xu Google APAC Privacy Counsel #APF19
Just checked into my hotel for #GPS19 and there is loud party music and a whiskey tasting going on... (it’s only 5.30pm) Jeepers. Welcome to Washington! PS- I’m too old for his hotel....
Happy to speak with @RoccoPanettaIT and Hazel Grant of Fieldfisher on this (4.5hour!!) panel on data subject rights. Really engaged audience. Lots of questions!
First question to panel at #GPS19 - to @DPCIreland “when are we likely to see enforcement?” HD: “Decisions can’t be made overnight; there needs to be a full investigation involving legal procedures, which takes time.” Draft decisions will be sent to EDPB by the summer.
