One of the most powerful essays I've ever read about how easy is to for families to feel trapped and accidentally collude with a child's eating disorder. Parents/guardians need and deserve support.
Thank you, @JudyKrasna.

@HopeVirgo This is really helpful Hope. The eating disorder field should not be going down this rabbit hole. In my clinical experience, people who die of an eating disorder usually don’t recognise the danger and/or have significant other comorbidities. People can recover after many years.

@LoriShemek@DrKristieLeong As an eating disorder specialist, I am going to respectfully disagree. If you are craving something sweet, eat something sweet. Respecting our body’s cravings, eating when hungry, and stopping when full leads to a healthy relationship with food. Restriction leads to overeating.
