Our convention last weekend was a huge success and I’m incredibly honored to have been elected President of @CollegeDemsCT. I’ll be joining our amazing chapter leadership and new State Board in implementing my initiatives for legislative advocacy, fundraising, and more!
We had an amazing turnout to our winter convention this year with 11 out of 12 of our chapters represented! We heard from inspiring elected officials and activists and had conversations about legislative advocacy and our role in passing progressive legislation this session!
We are excited to welcome our chapters to the 2019 CDCT Winter Convention! The event will be in Vernon Social this Saturday and we have some incredible speakers lined up! Also included are discussions on legislative advocacy and elections for our next CDCT Executive Board!
Today we honor the memory of Heather Heyer, whose spirit we see in every person who stands up to reject hatred and bigotry. Make no mistake: this fight goes on. The battle for the soul of this nation rests with each of us, everyday.
Currently, the Trump administration is arguing that its family-separation policy:
