Hey educators, a peer of mine recently introduced me to @TED_ED and we had a great time combing through their diverse amount of lessons. Please go check them out and drop me a recommendation for more education technology tools! #EDUC331#education#reccomended
My last and final recommendation goes to @SELearningEDU. Connecting as educators to our students is a big task. Learning about emotions to do so is just one way we can bridge the gap. Check them out for great information on emotional and social learning. #FF#EDUC331#pstpln
Fourth recommendation I'm tossing out is @HistoryInPics. As a future history educator this is a great place to find interesting historical photos. If not for any use in class they are still worth checking out if you love history! #FF#EDUC331#pstpln
Third recommendation I have to go with @usedgov. This one might seem a little on the nose for educators. If you're in the U.S. (and elsewhere) they are definitely worth a follow to keep up with education information across the states! #FF#EDUC331#pstpln
Second recommendation I have for you is @TeachHub. It's a great place to find k-12 teaching resources. Like lessons, news, and resources that could come in handy in a pinch! #FF#EDUC331#pstpln
Hey world! I have some recommendations coming up I took an interest in. My first one goes to @GoogleForEdu. Educators around the world utilize google in all its forms constantly. It wouldn't hurt to be ahead of the curb for great educational resources! #FF#EDUC331#pstpln
@julie_immordino@AcuteTrauma Thank you for the recommendation! I'll give them a follow. Trauma impacting students in the classroom is a given. The more we can educate ourselves and understand just how it does impact our students, the better we can help them succeed.
@Madison_artedu@Smarthistory Thank you for the recommendation! I'll have to check it out. Connecting art to tell history and vice versa would be a great collaboration for the two areas of education. With the right motivation the two could easily become one in the classroom.
In a class I'm currently taking we've been covering the Cradle-to-Prison Pipeline found throughout education in the U.S. schooling communities. Check out this website to better help you as an educator understand its role in our classrooms https://t.co/HL2f6Vu8Ec #EDUC331#pstpln
Good morning everyone! Recently I’ve been given the chance to interview a couple of middle school students who all had some overlapping feedback. That the homework/classwork balance isn’t doing it for them. Check out some alternatives! https://t.co/P5mutkbIjI #EDUC331#pstpln
@ajpodchaski A6: I believe it can be a process happening always. For me as I scroll and interact through twitter I can constantly evaluate who I’m following and the information I’m getting. Allowing me to easily change it out at a moments notice. #edtechtalk
@ajpodchaski A5: I’m currently trying to learn this. I believe it can be tricky finding people to include when you’re first starting off. I started was bigger organizations and well known voices in the education community. Then trickling down into smaller more personal connections.#edtechchat
@ajpodchaski A4: A great support a pln brings is representation. Creating and maintaining a pln allows you to display your digital reputation however you see fit. #edtechchat
@ajpodchaski A3: I believe twitter is a great place to start. It’s my only experience though so my view is limited. This twitter though is a great example of the platform working to create my own PLN #edtechchat
@ajpodchaski A2: I can see benefits of both but an in person PLN feels much more natural to me. Talking through the web can feel very daunting compared to in person. #edtechchat
@ajpodchaski A1: To me it means having and creating access to many voices in the education world. A way to connect and continue to grow online as a future teacher #edtechchat
Okay, last rec. I swear. Go and give @PlayCraftLearn a lurk and follow! It's a unique learning experience that utilizes the game @Minecraft to teach STEM skills and problem solving. I love the idea and use!
Hey, I'm back with another rec. Everyone should follow @TheCrashCourse! They provide educational videos in all areas of learning. I know they've saved me a few times and they may just do the same for you :)
