i worked for sam for just over a year.
in that timeframe i became a 10x better copywriter.
example
I'd write something, send it to him, and i'd get a text at like 11pm saying, "this sentence is written in a passive voice. it makes you sound soft. you bench 400 pounds. write in an active voice."

LOW BACK AND CORE - The QL is one of the more pesky areas of the body from my experience as a coach. A movement series we explored today getting some length out of that area, integrating the core and building durability and strength loading that area at length.
Adam that is exactly what I was just talking about with our HC. The cult of “It’s hard”. Well there is a lot of stuff that’s hard and still not smart lol I mean can we not find hard stuff to do that’s actually a little more impactful?
Ok “it’s hard”…so why else are you doing to? Because if that’s the only reason you can find? 🤦♂️🤦♂️
A CONSTANTLY rigid program is a sign of a lazy trainer.
The art of coaching is making set-by-set adjustments based on visual feedback (bar speed, form breakdown, breathing rate) to keep the client safe while provoking adaptation.
This is the energy that fires me up.
I want this from co-workers. I want employees so excited to improve & try things & learn & grow & push limits. Our jobs are so much more invigorating when everyone has this energy.
Wemby and Timmy called their shots. They both confidently said they want to be the best at their craft. They want to work hard to be GREAT at their craft.
This is usually where ~hustle culture~ gets quoted, along with work-life balance. And I am alllllll for not mindlessly working for no reason, and I want everyone to have a home life they love (god knows I need that, I have 493 hobbies). But you can really care about being great at your job, AND still have a life outside of work—they’re not antithetical. But having pride in your work makes work better, for you and those around you.
And if we’re being honest? The best do work a lot more, and a lot harder. That’s the reason they’re the best.
Nonchalance is lame. It’s cool to care.
Great tweet from Reggie James
I don’t pretend to have all the answers, I just talk to other dads who have reallllly good kids and learn from them. One of the most common things I learned is, have ur kids play lots of different sports early. The goal isn’t a phenomenon, it’s a coordinated kid.
My son will decide what he wants to do later.
Kyle Kuzma says he now plans to launch his own venture capital fund.
Kuzma, who will have over $125 million in NBA career earnings after next season, has spent 3-4 hours a day in-season studying companies over the past few years.
@BillAckman Can confirm, Eleiko Prestera Racks, Kabuki Transformer Bars, Eleiko Evo Rotating Dumbbells, OxeFit, etc are all elite kit. Great equipment selection.
My physical therapist opened a superb gym in a beautiful and intimate space in a great location at 32 East 57th Street next to Atria.
The concept integrates physical therapy with weight training, cardio, sauna, steam, cold plunge, sensory deprivation, VO2 max and all the other testing you need to determine your base line fitness and monitor your progress thereafter as well as much more.
Vosk has the best equipment I have ever seen in any gym and extremely experienced trainers and physical therapists.
It is a great place for serious athletes and those interested in longevity or just getting in great shape.
While it is a high end gym, the price is fair when you consider the cost of the 96 training and/or physical therapy sessions included in your annual membership.
The integration of physical therapy and training yields much better and safer outcomes. I have also found my training consistency is much greater since I prepaid for the sessions.

"A lot of people think I am (autistic). My mom and dad thought I was growing up because I had OCD tendencies."
Jeremiyah Love speaks on the possibility of being on the spectrum, noting that his parents thought he was autistic from an early age.
Congrats, Stanley Johnson on winning a @B_LEAGUE Championship in Japan!
"Coming over here, Stanley can't play. Stanley can't shoot. Now you can say Stanley is a champion."
I had the personal pleasure to have trained @AnquanBoldin literally EVERYDAY of EVERY OFF SEASON since 2010. I quickly learned I should not be training him, I should be learning from him. I could go on and on. But @LarryFitzgerald nails it. Everything he says. I am so grateful
