Year 5 went on an intergalactic trip to Winchester Science Museum On Thursday last week, where they got to experience what life is like in space. Exploring & learning about planets, dwarf planets and space travel. It was an out of this world experience for them all!
On Friday, our children in KS2 had a visit from a local author, Philip Kavvadias. He spoke about his current book Mission Microraptor and asked the children for their opinions on suggestions for his up coming books in the series.
Our Early Years children were very excited to meet a real life paramedic on Friday. Huge thank you Daniel from @scacharity for coming to show the children how to do CPR and what to do if somebody is unwell.
Year 5 enjoyed their special swimming lesson with Rebecca Adlington this morning. What an experience and fantastic opportunity to showcase Nimrit's winning swim hat design!
This week the school has been celebrating Wellbeing Week. Early Years, Year 1 & Year 2 enjoyed Forest school. The children did a spot of bird watching, painted emotion pebbles & learnt about nature 🌻🌳🖌️

Yesterday, Image Musical Theatre came to Colnbrook and performed 'Wind in the Willows' to our Reception class and KS1 children. The children helped with the acting and everyone had a wonderful time!
We are holding our Express Events for parents this week to showcase work covered in the Autumn term. Yesterday, Year 4 invited parents in, to see an exhibition on their topic of 'Invasions', featuring their work on the Vikings, covering English, history and art.
Our Year 2 class enjoyed a morning at Eton College museum yesterday. They are currently studying 'Habitats' in their science lessons and learnt more about how animals adapt to their environment.
Following on from our drama workshops, during what is our Wellbeing Week, some of our classes enjoyed Yoga workshops yesterday, with meditation and relaxation experiences. Our thanks to Yasmin, the Yoga instructor.
Yesterday, our Year 3 class visited Eton College museum to learn more about the Stone Age. They took part in a workshop and enjoyed looking at some of the artefacts of the time.
It's Wellbeing Week here at Colnbrook School. Yesterday, our local amateur dramatics group (CAST) led workshops for our Year 4 and Year 5 classes. The children enjoyed a number of activities, including forming different objects with their bodies! Our thanks to Steve and Jonathan.
