Spencer Pratt must be doing something right, because the whole LA industrial complex from journalists to washed up comedians is crawling out to attack him.
Funny thing with stats. You can pull numbers and bend them to whatever story your heart wants. Any real stats guy will tell you that’s not insight but bias. Garbage in, headline out.
So let’s look at LA.
Nobody feels safe. Crime everywhere. People are packing up and leaving. But the spreadsheet at the LA Times says everything’s great.
Crime is just a bunch of four digit codes in a system. A robbery’s a code. A stabbing’s a code. You don’t have to lie about anything.
You just pick the softer code. Aggravated assault quietly becomes “simple assault.”
Off the books that matter. The guy still got stabbed.
This isn’t a theory btw.
The LAPD’s Inspector General audited the department and found 25K aggravated assaults downgraded to “minor incidents.” From 2008-2014.
Stabbings. Beatings that put people in the hospital. All shoved into a column where they vanish. Real violence ran 36% higher than what they reported.
And the best part? The LA Times KNOWS all this. Their own reporters broke the stories.
Then Prop 47 shows up in 2014 and hands them a bigger eraser. Anything under $950 stops being a felony. Now it’s “shoplifting.” A ticket. Guy strolls out of CVS with both arms full and legally that’s about as serious as jaywalking.
Stores stopped bothering to report it. So guess what, crime went down.
Oh, and the cops? They left too. 10,000 to 8,600, lowest in 30 years.
Fewer cops means fewer reports get written. Not sure we should call that win.
And god help you if you actually call 911. Last year LAPD answered barely half their calls in the time they’re supposed to. You wait forty minutes for a non emergency, and eventually you stop calling.
Here’s the best part: when you stop calling, the city gets to say crime went down.
Now I’ll be straight, because I’m not gonna lie to make a point. Murders did drop. 230 last year, lowest since the 1960s.
But “fewer murders” and “safest in decades” are not the same sentence, and they’re betting you won’t notice the swap.
A dead body is the one thing you can’t code away.
Everything below it, the assaults, the break ins, the smashed car windows, the stuff that actually decides whether you feel safe walking to your own door, all of it runs on reporting they’ve been caught rigging for years to push a narrative.
They even juiced the trophy number.
“101 percent homicide clearance rate.” Sounds like a miracle till you read the fine print: they’re counting decade old cold cases and dead suspects who never saw a courtroom.
So I’ll ask the LA Times. Safer for whom?
So let me get this straight…
Spencer Pratt runs on cleaning up the streets of Los Angeles, fixing the homeless crisis, making sure reservoirs and fire hydrants actually have water, saving dogs and making LA safer and cleaner for everyone…
…and the media calls that “MAGA”? 🤔
Since when did wanting functioning infrastructure, safe streets, and competent leadership become controversial?
Shouldn’t that be the goal of EVERY politician regardless of party?
I guess some people would rather hand out free stuff while cities continue falling apart.
Jeffrey Epstein was a Democrat donor and Obama supporter. Trump and Epstein had a falling out and never spoke after they got in a feud over a house they both wanted in 2004, well before Epstein’s sex crimes were exposed by his first criminal conviction in 2008.
Progressives like to talk about how Trump’s name appears hundreds of times in the Epstein files, but this is because Epstein was an MSNBC-watching boomer lib who was constantly complaining about Trump to anyone who would listen to him whine. There are no communications between Trump and Epstein in any of the emails.
A lot of people seem to believe that the Epstein files contain emails between Trump and Epstein, but this is progressive misinformation. The fact that so many people think this is also evidence of the fact that public perception of the Epstein files is mostly based on memes and people don’t have any idea what the Epstein files are, or what they contain.
Brett Kavanaugh, a man in his 50s, had been valedictorian of his high school, at Yale College and a star student at Yale Law, had clerked for the Supreme Court, had a top career as an appellate lawyer and federal judge and a pristine reputation, and then a random woman from the town he grew up in claimed he had groped her at a party 35 years earlier when they were in high school.
Kavanaugh didn’t try to argue that the incident was consensual. He didn’t claim he remembered things differently than she did. He immediately stated that he had never even met the accuser. Denying ever meeting the accuser is a much stronger claim than merely denying assaulting her, and much easier to refute. After Kavanaugh made this denial, Christine Blasey-Ford no longer had to prove he had sexually assaulted her to scuttle his nomination, she only had to prove that the two of them had attended a party together at which such an assault might have occurred.
She was unable to do so. She did not know whose house the alleged assault occurred at. None of the people she claimed attended the party corroborated any aspect of her account. Leland Keyser, a friend of Blasey-Ford’s, who the accuser claimed was at the alleged party, said she recalled no such event and had never met Kavanaugh.
Kavanaugh produced a detailed calendar he had kept during the summer Blasey-Ford alleged she was assaulted, which included his whereabouts of every weekend night and listing who he was with. Kavanaugh argued that he could alibi himself and provide witnesses for any night Blasey-Ford claimed she might have been at a party with him. Blasey-Ford responded that she did not know the date of her assault and was not entirely certain it even occurred that year. Instead of being seen as persuasive, Kavanaugh’s calendar was mocked in both mainstream and social media because the reason he kept it was for a drinking contest he was having with his friends.
Nearly a decade later, there is still not a single shred of proof or a single witness who will corroborate the claim that Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey-Ford were ever in the same room before she testified at his confirmation hearing. Nonetheless, people like Nick Kristof still claim Kavanaugh was “credibly accused” of sexually assaulting this woman.
Funny how they never attack my policy ideas. They can only try to assassinate your character. They don’t wanna talk about my debate masterclass a week ago, they wanna talk about a reality show from a lifetime ago. That’s because they want the continued decline of the city. They are locked in an ideological death spiral and can’t shake it. Come at my policies or go sit back down on the back bench. I’m in the arena, son.
Be Zohran Mamdani solving a fiscal crisis:
> Take $8 billion bailout from the state
> Defer pension payments and saddle future generations with debt.
> Briefly solve the problem which will immedietly become a $7B deficit next fiscal year
> Make a smily TikTok video with a lot of jump cuts.
> Declare that socialism has won
> Get praised by retarded supporters as a governing genius.
Mamdani is lying to you. He didn't turn a $12B budget deficit to $0.
Spark notes: He inflated the deficit by $8B compared to Adams, brought it back down, then closed the rest with one-off bailout funds from Kathy Hochul who's desperate for a win.
Funny thing is most of you morons believe it. The entire Democratic party is cheering a lie while "cooking" the books.
New York City has been LEGALLY REQUIRED to balance its budget every single year since 1975. State law. The Financial Emergency Act. Passed after the city almost went bankrupt and Gerald Ford told them to drop dead.
Mamdani's own budget message brags this is the 47th consecutive balanced budget. Bloomberg balanced. de Blasio balanced. Adams balanced. Giuliani balanced.
Crediting Mamdani for balancing the budget is like crediting a taxi driver for stopping at a red light.
Now the $12 billion. Adams left office with a projected FY27 gap of $4.69 billion.
So where did the extra eight billion come from?
Mamdani's own team. They walked in and moved hidden spending back onto the books: rental assistance, shelter ops, special ed reimbursements, NYPD overtime. Legit cleanup work.
Then they ran to a podium and called it a deficit they inherited.
They printed the number. Then they took credit for printing the number.
How did they "close" it? Half came from Albany. Hochul wrote a check: $8 billion in state aid over two years.
THIS IS NOT SUSTAINABLE. HE DIDN'T FIX ANYTHING.
Mamdani's signature millionaire's tax? KILLED by Hochul.
Corporate rate hike? KILLED.
Free buses he ran on? KILLED.
CityFHEPS expansion he campaigned on? He's in court right now fighting it.
Then there's the pension trick.
$1.64 billion of the "savings" comes from extending pension amortization from 2032 to 2037.
The Citizens Budget Commission called it "a pension gimmick" that "balances this budget on the backs of future New Yorkers."
William Glasgall, Volcker Alliance, said it "creates a debt that's more expensive than muni bonds."
And the kicker.
The budget IS NOT ADOPTED. Council votes June 30. The state budget the whole thing depends on was still not enacted as of last week.
Out-year gaps under Mamdani's own numbers:
FY2028: $7.1 billion
FY2029: $8.5 billion
FY2030: $9.8 billion
The hole grew $5.4 billion in three months.
So the real headline. Hochul cut a check. Future workers eat the pension bill. The structural deficit is BIGGER than the day he walked in.
They didn't fix anything. They moved it.
The math: $4.69B real gap. $8B from Hochul. $1.64B pension can-kick. $25.9B in future gaps.
He didn't balance the books. But he's gambling your future and kicking the can down the road.
So maybe stop celebrating. But what do I know. Good luck.
In 2022, I ran for Congress in a majority-white district. In a crowded Republican primary, I was the only black candidate, and I won outright without a runoff.
Why?
Because Americans are capable of choosing the BEST candidate regardless of race.
As evidenced by your post, just like much of your party, you seem to believe black Americans are politically monolithic.
We’re NOT.
Not every person of color shares your worldview, your policies, or your values.
The recidivism we should actually be avoiding is sliding backward into a system where Americans are once again divided and categorized by race.
That is EXACTLY what racial gerrymandering represents:
Segregating people politically based on skin color while pretending it is moral progress.
It’s bigotry cloaked in false moral outrage, and the American people can see it plainly.
South Carolina has had a Black Secretary of State, a Black State Treasurer, two Black Lieutenant Governors, a Black Attorney General, and one of their U.S. Senators is Black.
ALL Republicans, by the way.
I remember when people were too embarrassed to display their ignorance.
Amazing how dishonest the Democrats are.
Here's reality.
First and foremost, the bulk of this deficit was of Mamdani's own making. He blew up the budget by an unprecedented $15 billion dollars in new spending over last year. The largest single-year spending increase ever.
So right off the bat our fiscal crisis was exacerbated by Mamdani's insane spending demands.
Had he simply kept spending levels approximately where they were -- already a massive $110 billion dollars -- we could've avoided most of this crisis entirely.
Next, Mamdani didn't close the deficit through successful leadership or any kind of fiscal discipline. He didn't boost the New York economy and end up with a pile of money from booming businesses or new residents.
He got a multibillion dollar bailout from Albany and is raising taxes. That's the big accomplishment Democrats are bragging about here.
Higher taxes, and a bailout from upstate. That's success to Democrats.
The rest is accounting tricks courtesy of the pliant City Council finance committee, who have been busy 'finding' money by revising revenue estimates upward in order to fill in the gaps. No way that'll bite us in the future!
And lets not forget the tens of billions that this city wastes every single year, which are going completely untouched. Nonprofits, welfare for illegals, and political activism. Not just untouchable, but set to get fat increases.
That's the real story of the budget.
'Democrats Deliver' indeed.
Lying to stoke racial animosity is pretty nasty stuff.
It was a Senate committee meeting. He's neither a senator nor part of that committee. The poor guy just doing his job being smeared as a racist is just gross. You don't even know him.
Very sneaky of Trump to rig the Virginia Constitution to provide instructions on how to pass a referendum for a constitutional amendment that Democrats couldn’t follow.
Many of you on the left are commenting that the decision was 4-3, as if the math somehow changes what actually happened. Four Justices on the Virginia Supreme Court canceled the votes of every person who voted “yes.” All the money. All the effort. Cancelled.
I know it is easy to blame the Court for what happened today. But here is the absolute truth:
The Virginia Democrats broke the law. They did it openly, blatantly, and with complete disregard for the consequences. They believed they were untouchable because they controlled the executive branch and the legislative branch. The acted like mob bosses with no accountability. But in a government with checks and balances - the Courts always have the final say.
Your vote was not canceled because four justices woke up and decided to invalidate an election. Your vote was canceled because Virginia Democrats put the Court in a position where the law required intervention.
You should absolutely be angry that your vote was taken away. But be angry at the people who ignored the law and caused this mess in the first place. If Democrats had simply followed the Constitution and done it correctly, none of this would have happened.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. All the "smart" Democrats are saying that the court should have addressed this issue before the election.
But the Court says IN THE DECISION:
"Thoughout this litigation, the Commonwealth (ie the Democrats) has insisted that we cannot lawfully decide this case prior to the referendum"
Before the election, the Democrats *successfully* argued that "courts cannot interfere to stop any of the proceedings while this permanent law is in the process of being made"
The Democrats WON the argument that the Courts MUST allow the election to go ahead without ruling on the constitutionality of what they were voting on
Now they are complaining that the Court should have ruled on this case before the election. This is the most cut-and-dried case of intentional idiocy I've seen in at least a week and a half
Sigh this is a good sign that you didn’t read the ruling.
The ruling says they violated the Virginia constitution. Why would the Florida and Tennessee maps be impacted by the Virginia Constitution?
Maybe it was unwise to have this fight…
I just want to point out they tried to put Trump in Jail as the sitting president because he made a phone call to Ukraine.
She's actively working against America with a foreign government. She should actually be in prison.
> be Virginia.
> create laws
> rush mid-decade map to override bipartisan commission
> use special session for constitutional change instead of regular session as required
> skip required intervening election between two legislative passages as required by laws you created
> exceeded limited budget-only authority of 2025 special session
> start voting before completing mandatory 90-day public notice
> pass bill HB 1384 violating state code and rules
> use very misleading ballot language about restoring fairness
> blame judges when you're not allowed to break your own state laws
Just to be clear, the Virginia Supreme Court found that the Virginia Democratic Party, with the boosting of nearly every national level Democratic Party figure, acted illegally and unconstitutionally in an attempt to manipulate an upcoming election despite being repeatedly warned that they were doing so throughout the entire process
Democracy is literally dying in America unless Democrats can draw congressional districts based on race, count illegal aliens in the census, and end requirements to show an ID to vote.
The idea that it’s lawful for a president to grant temporary protective status, but that it’s unlawful for another president to let it expire remains absolutely insane.
