[Indianapolis Colts @Colts]

We conducted a walk-through on Wednesday.

Wednesday's practice report is only an estimation of a player's participation if there was a practice.

Indianapolis Colts' Shane Steichen Addresses Quenton Nelson/DeForest Buckner Trades

[Jeremy Fowler @JFowlerESPN]

Sources: Colts WR Josh Downs is requesting a trade from Indianapolis.

[Kevin Bowen @KBowen1070]

Shane Steichen’s opening statement:

[Jake Arthur @JakeArthurNFL]

#Colts HC Shane Steichen opened up his presser, acknowledging the Quenton Nelson/DeForest Buckner trades:

"I have the ultimate respect for those two guys.. They are the definition of the standard in what you want in a football player."

[Jake Arthur @JakeArthurNFL]

Asked Steichen if either Nelson or Buckner requested their trade, and he said, "I'll keep that all private."

He did say that Jonathan Taylor has not asked to be traded.

[Mike Chappell @mchappell51]

Steichen said Jonathan Taylor has not asked to be traded.

[Jake Arthur @JakeArthurNFL]

FYI, the #Colts have altered their schedule for today and are conducting a walkthrough rather than a practice. That's common in the back half of the schedule under Shane Steichen due to maintenance.

[Jake Arthur @JakeArthurNFL]

The #Colts worked out several cornerbacks today:

Shemar Bartholomew (signed PS)
Christian Braswell
Natrone Brooks (signed PS)
Cobee Bryant
Dwight McGlothern
Kobee Minor
Ambry Thomas

Knowing its coming and needing it to be done doesn't make it hurt any less.

Reunion! The Colts are trading three-time Pro Bowl DL DeForest Buckner to the 49ers for a 2027 fourth-round pick, sources tell @ringer @netflixsports.

Buckner came to San Francisco as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2016. A decade later, he’s back.

[Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter]

Trade: Colts are sending three-time Pro-Bowl DT DeForest Buckner back to the 49ers, the team that made him a 2016 first-round pick before dealing him to Indianapolis in 2020, per me and @rapsheet. Now Buckner returns to San Francisco, fortifying the 49ers defensive line.

[Jake Arthur @JakeArthurNFL]

We’ll talk to Shane tomorrow. No plans for Dodds to talk so far.

[ColtsFanCole @ColtsFanCole]
