@PatriarchyRbds@Try2StopME Poor ass men. Have no goals, no dreams, except 3-4 kids and a subservient wife. Little salary, large family. While daydreaming about religion, caste, and God.
@Try2StopME@michellmybell1 If I don't need someone to carry out my day to day life, and can handle all by myself, then I would be seen as independent. How tough is this to understand?
@the_psyche_lab@DrkaKnight Haha. Exactly. Freedom of choice. I relate to your mother on this one though! If someone tells me "follow your man", I will be like "stfu, and get lost, and mind your own business! "
@the_psyche_lab@DrkaKnight Right! Exactly! But anything taken far extreme is bad. Also the way you are describing patriarchy will only exist, if we consider "all men are/were good"; which is not true. Men did took the concept of patriarchy to extremes in the past and still does and then justifies it!
@the_psyche_lab@DrkaKnight Also, may be it is the love language for many women, too. This is probably why feminists have been fighting for so many years; they wouldn't take up these fights for no reason, right? It is just that society is afraid of acknowledging this love language of many ladies out there!
@the_psyche_lab@DrkaKnight Also, it's not only about whether my father loves her or not. It's about how society sees a man and a woman in a household, as a couple. That's why it's unsung role of a leader.
@the_psyche_lab@DrkaKnight No one looks up to anyone in my family. We just love and care for each other. We do not "follow" a single person in every situation, we follow the most logical one in a given situation, it could be any of the members. We even call out each other all the time, whenever feel needed
@the_psyche_lab@DrkaKnight But my father wasn't always a stroke patient. He recently suffered from one. My parents had been married for 30 years. She had been managing home all these 30 years, alongside my father. And she is so capable! She had always been the leader, along my father, albeit unsung.
@chakravartiiin You are a disgusting human being. I pray you rot in your bed. She was a MD doctor, engaged in an empathetic profession, took her own life, without harming others. So many men suffering from mental issues, do not take help, and beat their kids and wives to deal with it
@the_psyche_lab@DrkaKnight Personally, would mind! cause my father is a stroke patient, and 95% of the household and money management is done by my mother, since much before the stroke. Also calling my father a leader, and asking him to take up on this role, when he clearly needs rest, seems a little harsh
@7thManvantara@venom1s Women are sexualised in every outfit. Even little kids are sexualised. What are you on? First day on Earth? And don't you think, if a woman has to take so many measures to not get sexualised, then there's something wrong with how women are perceived in the society?
