I've started noticing how much peace comes from keeping small promises to yourself. If I say I'll do something, then actually doing it builds a kind of trust with myself that nobody else can give me.
Sometimes telling people “BTW, I’ve never been through what you’ve been through so I don’t understand your experience enough to tell you how to handle it but just know I have your back” is kinder than giving unsolicited advice while lacking the depth.
