After lunch, Year 2 came back to our classroom and acted out lots of our vocabulary… Can you guess which picture links to which word? @ComberbachMrsY @LiteracyCounts1
Finally, Year 2 discovered a paper boat in our classroom! Through lots of rich discussion, making predictions and sharing of ideas, we noticed writing on the boat, decided we could unravel it and thought it could be a letter… once opened we read it! Wow! What a day of learning…
In our English lesson today, Year 2 learnt lots of new vocabulary and used dictionaries (we are now experts) to find the meaning of new words. Then, we wrote sentences in pairs to show our learning! We are loving our quality text ‘A River’ 💙 @ComberbachMrsY @LiteracyCounts1
I am so proud of Year 2! They have written the most brilliant circular stories about their journey down the river… so we just had to publish them today, for our ‘Wonderful Writing’ wall 🤩 @ComberbachMrsY
This morning Year 2 have had an excellent, fun filled active maths lesson today, consolidating all of our new learning about fractions! Ask us what a unit fraction is… 😊
Today Year 2 are writing the first paragraphs of their circular story, and I am absolutely amazed at the wonderful writing that is being produced in our classroom! Ask us about the characters adventures! @ComberbachMrsY
We collected our results, created a scatter graph and concluded our experiment! Our results didn’t show exactly what we expected… but we learnt lots! @Greatsciencesh1 @ComberbachMrsY @ComberbachMrsW
Today in Year 2 we learnt lots of new vocabulary, and used dictionaries to find the meaning of the words! Then we used our ‘I do, we do, you do…’ model to practise writing sentences using our new words! We wrote some amazing sentences 🙌🏻 @ComberbachMissM
